SURVIVING DIVORCE & MAKING $100K Marriage and falling in love is beautiful. But divorce, it can be very hurtful. Try running a business and going through a divorce at the same time. Now that can send you on a rollercoaster ride that you will never forget. Not knowing what was ahead of me. I filed for divorce in January 2015 after being married for only one whole year. All the while, raising two children, working a full time job and running my beauty bar part-time. Hurt, scared and confused, I refused to give up. How was I going to move on? What was I going to do? These were my million dollar questions that I needed answers to. Because my clients where very understanding and supportive, I decided to up my 186 sq. foot suite that house my beauty bar and I moved everything into my living room. This would allow me to be closer to my children as well as save money. My mother and I spent countless hours trying to decorate my living room so they could be comfortable. Question is, was I truly ready for this transformation? My clients began to come in little by little and I was somewhat relieved. Are they happy? Are they still accepting me? Am I doing a good job? My mind began to race morning, noon and night. I knew that as long as they were happy, I’d continue to make money to pay my bills and get back to a great business mindset. June 2015 comes and the lease to my place is coming to an end. Now what? I’m still working my regular job to help pay the bills, my children are in good health, but where are my clients going to go? I quickly began to do some research of salons in my area and pick one. Now, my clients can still receive services from me AND I can gain new clients while working at a salon! Great idea. The new salon is working out greatly! My clients are staying with me, I’ve found a new place to live and I’ve gained more clients to increase my income! What better way to get back on my feet after filing for divorce! January 2016 arrives and I’ve made another decision to move AGAIN; was too close to my soon to be exhusband. When going through a divorce, you have to distance yourself from all of the negativity. Your mind has to stay clear so you can get better and do better. Not just for yourself but for your family and business. In February 2016, not only did I complete my move. But, I got another surprise. My divorce papers had come in the mail and it was finalized. I could now work on getting back to my happiness, raise my children and take my business to the next level. I left the salon and again, moved all of my belongings into my dining room. Cuttings lots of overhead cost and staying close to my children. The salon owner was furious but, as a business woman and as a mother, I had to do what needed to be done. While still working full time, I stayed in my apartment dining room for two years until I got everything in order. Not just for myself but, for my business. This time, I wanted to be bigger and better than ever. So, I began to look around for another salon close to home. In the middle of January 2018, I was fired from my full time job. Was I depressed? Was I mad? OF COURSE not! I am still a business owner. And this time, with a full book! In February 2018, I moved into a full service salon in a prominent area in Louisville, KY out of nowhere, I was booming! I still had my old clients and my new clientele shot through the roof. Being fired from my job was no mistake at all, it was a blessing. In March 2018, I chose to try the marketing app called Groupon. It was a success! More new clients came and by word of mouth again, my name spread like wild fire. I was close to home, close to my children and making more money than ever. In April 2018, I decided to change my way of thinking again; started to follow Candace Holyfield. Since she’s the SixFigureSpaChic, I had to see what she’s about. Things started slow but, sure enough, I got my answer. By September 2018, I was making $8k, for the last quarter of 2018, I made $30k; $10k a month. I cried so hard, my face hurt. When I checked my numbers again at the end of December 2018, I hit my $100k mark. Shocked, surprised and filled with happiness, I could not stop smiling. I did this! Hard work, 2 children, divorced and my name was fire in the Louisville, KY streets; The Lady Brazilianaire. Many people told me that being divorced would take a toll on me and it might even weigh me down. But, I chose to life differently. I chose to not listen and keep going. As long as I kept my mind to it, I could do anything!

The young foodie relocated from Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn to the Sienna Plantation area of Texas, hence the brand name Sienna Sauce. In an effort to recreate a flavor of sauce she missed from back home, she experimented and stirred up some flavors that she enjoyed far superior!
