Hello New York District Key Clubbers!
Hello New York District Key Clubbers!
My name is Diana Piktel and I am serving as your District Editor for the 2016-2017 service year! I am so excited to be working with you all this year and to serve my term as editor the best that I can. Please feel free to contact me if you ever need anything or if you simply just want to talk! I promise I’m super friendly and I would love to meet all the key clubbers in the district! Aside from Key Club, I play volleyball and lacrosse, am in my school’s dance company, and I’m a huge fan of High School Musical, in case you were wondering. Anyways, I would personally like to congratulate everyone who ran for higher office at LTC. Even if you did not get the position, all your speeches were amazing and I know you will continue to do great things with Key Club and the future in general! I would also like to congratulate my friend Matt Garber for winning the position of District Governor. Matt was an amazing Executive Assistant when I was Lieutenant Governor and I know he will be an amazing Governor.

I met a boy at the conference names Jamien Jean. He was trying to sell his mixtape (which he made sure we understood was hotter than fire) and we took a promotional picture for his social media at a meeting. The craziest part, believe it or not, was that five minutes before this picture was taken I didn't know anyone in the picture beforehand. That's my favorite thing about key club! You get to know so many people in an intimate setting, and grow so close to all of them. I still talk to every single person in this picture, and I now consider them my good friends.
My favorite moment at LTC was when we were given free hugs sign and got the opportunity to go around and just hug everyone. No one seemed too shy for a hug and it made me feel really confident about myself and I just really liked the atmosphere of LTC. Everyone was so friendly and I've never felt so comfortable in my life. I loved meeting a bunch of new people and getting to see their excitement and smiles.
