Sharing experiences – Building SMART strategies through PPPs Participants will be asked to answer the following questions in their presentations: How to identify the good solutions? Which processes in the preparatory phase of the project? What are the best ways to contract and manage PPPs: from public procurement to the implementation and management phase. What are the main challenges, risks and pitfalls? What are the necessary national and local legislative frameworks to facilitate smart services procurement? What are the lessons learned and key elements for success?

Working group for the elaboration of the Guidelines for SMART negotiation The results and lessons learnt from the workshop will be included into the Guidelines to support local governments to negotiate and implement contracts with the private sector in the realm of SMART technologies applied to municipal management. 09.00 – 10.30 09.00 – 10.00: Work in 3 or 4 groups on specific questions to determine the lessons learned from discussions of the day before and their application in the local context. Discussion about the specific content that could be useful for the Guidelines. 10.00 – 10.30: Restitution of the results of each group. 10.30 – 11.00
