He has ruled Mexico for 35 years, from 1876 to 1911. Many people call this the “Porfiriato”, it is a time of progress and modernization for Mexico and also it has been a great improvement in the Mexican economy. The benefits of the Porfiriato are felt by very few mexicans, while millions of people “workers” labor in total slavery.
