Foods You Need To Eat During Navratri


Navratri is one of the important festivals of India celebrated twice in a year. Fasting is popular during this period for religious purposes. If you have any plan to fast this Navratri, so, here is the list of food you can eat that keeps you nourish. Fasting doesn’t mean you need to starve all day long, but, it is just to detoxify your body and give your system a break. There are a number of foods you can eat during this period and here is the list we have for you.


Kuttu Ka Atta: Kuttu Ka Atta (Buckwheat) is one of the highly nutritious cereals, which is very low in calories. It nourishes your body during fast and also aids in weight loss. Yes, it is free from saturated fat and therefore, very much helpful in improving the digestion and managing the weight.


Sabudana: Another food item that you can have during Navratri is Sabudana (sago/tapioca pearls). It is a rich source of carbohydrates and helps you stay energized all day long. Also, it is very low in fat and protein and is easy to digest. You can make healthy yet delicious recipes with this Sabudana such as Kheer, Payasam, etc.


Makhana: These are very popular and mostly used in every home during Navratri. These Makhanas contains a number of nutrients your body needs to fight against a number of health problems. These may easily make you feel fuller and helps you enjoy happy and healthy fasting.


Dairy Products: Milk, Curd, Ghee, Paneer also good for your health and you should add them to your diet during Navratri. They perfectly balance your body food need and fade away any drowsing.


Fruits: Fruits must be in your regime all the time and especially in Navratri because they supply enough nutrients, vitamins and other oxidants your body require to stay hydrated and energized. They satisfy your hunger pangs and keep you healthy.
