Nutrition Needs Of An Elderly Person Nutrition needs of an elderly person are not very different from the younger adults. However, they have to be more careful about the food they choose to eat. For example intake of salts should be reduced and saturated fats and sugar should be kept at minimal levels in their diet. All elderly people are not without teeth or have difficulties in eating but it is important that their food should be a little softer than it was previously.
