The Zugspitze
Die Zugspitze ist mit 2.962 m der höchste Berg Deutschlands und einer der Parade-Aussichtsberge der Alpen. Bei gutem Wetter genießt man den 4-Länder-Fernblick in die Zwei- und Dreitausender (und den einzigen Viertausender) der Ostalpen. Direkt auf den Gipfel gelangt man von Ehrwald aus mit der Tiroler Zugspitzbahn. Bereits die Auffahrt in den 100Personen fassenden Panorama-Kabinen ist ein Erlebnis. Nahezu lautlos gleitet man den Berg empor und überwindet dabei einen Höhenunterschied von 1.725 m in nur 10 Minuten.
The Zugspitze is the highest mountain in Germany and offers some of the best views of the Alps. On fine days visitors can see mountain peaks up to 4,000 m and across 4 countries reaching as far as the Eastern Alps. One can travel directly to the summit via the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn from Ehrwald. The journey in the 100 passenger capacity cabin with it‘s panoramic views is an amazing experience. The cable car glides up the mountain, climbing 1,725 meters in just 10 minutes.

Ticket information
· Ticket Sales/Ski passes:
Tickets and Ski passes can be purchased from the ticket office at the valley station of the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn. Tickets for the descent (single ride) can be purchased at the info point at the mountain station. Buy your ticket also at the ticket machine at the valley and mountain station or in the online shop at zugspitze.tirol
TIP: With the online ticket you have direct access to the cable car!

Barrierefrei / Easy access
Auch für Familien mit Kinderwagen und für Menschen mit Handicap ist der Besuch der Zugspitze kein Problem. Mit Aufzügen an der Tal- und Bergstation erreicht man alle Stockwerke, inkl. Museum sowie das Behinderten-WC stufenlos. Der Ein- & Ausstieg in die Großraumkabine ist ebenfalls völlig mühelos. Sollten Sie als Rollstuhlfahrer die „Faszination Zugspitze“ besuchen, so wenden sie sich bitte an unsere Mitarbeiter. Diese bringen Sie mit dem Aufzug auf die beiden Ebenen der Erlebniswelt.
Families with prams and physically challenged visitors will have no problem visiting the Zugspitze. All levels and the toilet facility for the disabled can be accessed by elevator at the valley and mountain stations. The cable car cabins are also easy to enter and exit. Should wheelchair guests wish to visit the „Fascination Zugspitze“, please contact our staff. Who will take you by elevator to both levels of the interactive museum.

On Zugspitze you are in a high mountain area. Please ensure you wear suitable clothing, sturdy shoes, and use sufficient sun protection (cream, sunglasses…).

Im Mai, Juni, Oktober und November ist die Tiroler Zugspitzbahn bei sehr schlechter Witterung nicht in Betrieb; ausgenommen Events.
