6 Fitness Tips to be Healthy You know the thing about hacks is that they make life a little...no, a lot simpler! And especially when it comes to health, these little hacks can take you a long way.

So here you go with weird, simple, and some crazy fitness tips (that also work, by the way) to make your health troubles go away:

1. 20/20/20 That is not a date. It actually means – go take a break! Staring at devices like laptops or smartphones for hours on end strains your eyes, and makes them weaker. Follow this 20/20/20 rule – every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break, and try and focus at something 20 metres away.

2. Walk off all negativity If you’re feeling angry or sad or uninspired, then taking a walk will help tremendously with clearing your mind. Whenever work gets overwhelming, step away from your desk and take a walk.

3. Stretch! Doesn’t stretching feel sooooo good?! Then why don’t you do it more often? Sitting or standing all day without much movement leads to your muscles getting stiff and tired. Stretching helps relieve that and also improves flexibility and range of motion. It can also help you sleep better.

4. Rearrange your portion sizes The ratio of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and roughage in your diet makes all the difference. Just rearranging your meals in a way such that each is 25% protein, 50% carbohydrates, 10% fats, and about 15% fresh fruits and vegetables, will improve your health dramatically. You’ll notice how you have increased energy levels and better mental acuity.

5. Eat with purpose A major chunk of people tend to eat out of sheer boredom. While there’s nothing morally wrong with it (because to each, their own), but for people with health issues such as diabetes or cholesterol, this habit would add to their woes. Therefore, every time you feel like munching, ask yourself if you’re truly feeling hungry, or is it just boredom. If you realise that you just had a meal 2 hours ago and this may be you being bored, then keep yourself distracted. Read or go for a walk. Trust me, the feeling will pass.

6. Cut down on alcohol and cigarettes You already know this. While these 2 products aren’t beneficial to our health, I would never advice you to strictly cut it out from your lifestyle- because I know that’s impractical. Instead, try and cut down the frequency of consumption. No more than 2 glasses of wine a week, and maybe only as many cigarettes a week. Even though getting healthy sounds like a long, time-wasting process, the effort put towards being in shape has many positive effects. If you want to start your journey to having a better body to feel great, there is no better than now. What do you think? For more health, wellness and fitness articles visit- healthhunt.in
