Profile Many environmental problems and other issues we have in our society are linked to the ways we produce our food around the world. Fortunately, ecological restoration and sustainable food production systems can be integrated together into much needed solutions. Therefor I want to learn about how different farms operate and how to create sustainable food production systems that serve farmers, society and nature. I have grown into a person that is ambitious, creative, eager to learn, empathic, practical, flexible and I enjoy working with other people.

During this time I was able to learn about plant species, growing conditions and design techniques. 2015-2017 Creatief Beheer, Rotterdam Community gardener I have assisted in the development of multiple community projects where green spaces were used as a way to combat social problems. Tasks include maintenance of urban green spaces, organising activities and coordination with stakeholders. Rotterdam Environmental Centre, Rotterdam 2015-2016 Assistant environmental education programme (volunteer) On the rooftop of an office building in the city center I was part of a team that provided educational programs for children of the age of 8-12. My task was to let kids experience rooftop farming and teach them about plants, soil, growing conditions and environmental problems related to urban areas.
