Men are always the last to know. Men never catch on to the rules of life. A fact, men don't even know they are governed throughout their lives by a set of rules.

Rule 3: If a female suspects the male knows any rule, she must immediately change the rule. This rule perpetually keeps the male in the dark as to what the rules are.

It is with great peril that I take pen in hand to disclose these hidden Rules of Life. I promise you, men, that they exist. My telling you the Rule 4: One of the most fundamental rules rules really won't change anything, but at least of civilization is the female is never wrong. you will know what you are up against. Man really figured this one out centuries ago, but is too insecure to actually bring it up. Here are the Rules of Life that guide all civiliTherefore, it remains as a true cornerstone of zation. Any breakdown in these rules will end society. civilization as we know it. Rule 5: If the female appears to be wrong, it Rule 1: Females always make the rules. Men is because of a flagrant misunderstanding, are not privy to the rules, but sometimes they which was a direct result of something the figure out part of the scheme. Men never male did or said wrong. Simply stated, the completely understand all the rules. man is never right. Rule 2: The rules are always subject to change without notification. It’s called a woman’s prerogative. Men never change the rules because they are not even allowed to know there are any rules. 4

Rule 6: If Rule 5 applies, the male must immediately apologize for causing the misunderstanding. Failure to comply will force upon the man a steady diet of hot tongue and cold shoulder.

Rule 7: The female is allowed to change her mind at any point while the male must never change his mind without express written consent from the female. Failure to complete this cycle of correctness will result in the man being wrong -- again. Rule 8: The female has every right to be angry or upset in any situation, while the male must remain calm at all times -- unless the female wants the male to be angry or upset. Because men don't know the rule, they walk a slippery slope.

Rule 10: If any two females disagree over any of the rules, they are both right. Males may hear the disagreement firsthand, but they not allowed to mention it or give an opinion about the disagreement in question. The correct answer to any female from a male under this rule should be, "You're right."

Now that the rule’s code has been broken, I really don’t know what you guys are going to do with the information. In fact, you’re pretty much stuck here because any attempt to go against the code will end your relationship with women forever. And you know the old Rule 9: Under no circumstances must the saying, “You can’t live with them and you female let the male know whether or not she wants the male to be angry or upset. Rule 9 is can’t live without them.” forever called the no-win clause of life. Your best bet is to go with the status quo and act stupid like always. Having too much information can actually be a pain in the neck. The fact is, your life was probably simpler before you read the rules. 5

Weston Air Festival to return next summer After a two-year absence due to the Covid pandemic, North Somerset Council is delighted to announce the return of Weston Air Festival to Weston-super-Mare seafront next summer. The two-day event, which will also include Armed Forces Day celebrations as well as dazzling air displays, will take place over the weekend of Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June. In 2019 when the Air Festival last took place the event featured displays from the Red Arrows and the Battle of Britain Memorial Display amongst others and attracted an estimated 200,000 people over the two days. "There is no doubt that before the pandemic the Air Festival had become one of the South West region’s flagship events and of huge importance to the local economy," said Cllr Mark Canniford, executive member for placemaking and economy at North Somerset Council. 16

I am thrilled that we are able to bring such a brilliant spectacle back to Weston seafront and beach lawns again next year for both local and national audiences to enjoy." The 2022 Air Festival will again be managed on the council's behalf by Richmond Event Management (REM). Ben Hardy, managing director at REM, said: “We were originally contracted in 2018 to deliver Weston Air Festival and develop the offer as part of the council’s placemaking and destination marketing plans. We deliver largescale, major public events for local authorities across the UK and, whilst we enjoy every single one of them, it’s really nice for us to deliver something on our home turf!”

Update on Keynsham High Street public realm Bath & North East Somerset Council is updating residents and businesses on the progress of major works to improve Keynsham High Street and revitalise the town centre.

By taking advantage of the extended road closure, foreseeing no further delays, the high street scheme is now expected to be completed in the week beginning November 29 ahead of the Christmas trading period.

The project began on June 1 and has made great progress paving the west side of the street in new high-quality materials along with re-arranging the Charlton Road junction and installing new street lighting.

Councillor Richard Samuel, deputy Leader and cabinet member for Economic Development & Resources, said: “We will soon reach the three-month milestone of this important improvement project for Keynsham and much progress has been made, however it is often the nature of major construction works that there will be unforeseen issues causing delays and impacting other local projects. Nevertheless we do appreciate the frustration and inconvenience this causes for residents and businesses.

An unforeseen issue with the depth available in the pavement on the east side of the street to install drainage as planned now means that the drainage has to be placed in the carriageway. This means that the high street will remain closed 24 hours a day, seven days a week while the work is completed. Works on the drainage will begin in early September, alongside the installation of new street furniture, the relocation of the bus stop and delivery of new paving. It is anticipated that the road will reopen later in the Autumn. These unexpected works mean that sewer works for the housing development in Rock Road have also been delayed, however the council is underlining that Rock Road and Ashton Way will not be closed at the same time as the high street. The council is working closely with the Rock Road development’s contractors to find an opportunity for the sewer works to be done at a time that minimises the impact on people accessing Keynsham and does not delay the high street programme. 18

“We are working closely with our contractors and the contractors for the Rock Road development to minimise disruption in any way we can. Please be reassured that Ashton Way and Rock Road will not be closed while the High Street is closed. We will provide a further update on this as soon as we possibly can. Thank you for your continued patience while we find a way forward.” The High Street scheme will deliver footpath widening and resurfacing, better signage and cycling and bus stop facilities on the High Street between Bath Hill and Charlton Road. There will also be new street furniture, streetlights, landscaping and trees.

It is funded by the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership through the Local Growth and Getting Building Funds, administered by the West of England Combined Authority. It is also funded by the Combined Authority through its Love our High Streets programme. The council is working closely with traders to minimise disruption and ensure access during trading hours. Customers and traders are still able to access their premises. Tarmac ramps to provide access for wheelchairs, pushchairs, motorised wheelchairs, bicycles and pedestrians have been installed where possible. Where tarmac ramps are not possible, industry-standard plastic ramps have been installed. The council is continuing to review the ramps as the work progresses. Anyone wishing to contact the council regarding accessibility can email environment&design@bathnes.gov.uk For more information on the plans and for construction updates please visit: www. bathnes.gov.uk/keynsham.

Can community speed watch volunteers really give drivers a speeding ticket?

This week we had a call from a reader who received a letter in the post dated June 2021 regarding a speeding accusation, he asked us if we could do some research about CSWV and are they enforceable by law. Well here we go. Community speed watch volunteers carry out a role in helping the fight against dangerous drivers who speed in residential areas, but what powers do they have? Here’s all you need to know.

What is community speed watch? This is a scheme that allows volunteers to monitor the speed of vehicles passing through their community.

So what’s the point, if tickets can’t be issued? While penalties can’t be issued, officers will act if speed watch volunteers repeatedly report a vehicle to the cops. Each force is different, but, typically, police will act after two reports of a vehicle speeding In such a case the owner of the vehicle will be sent an official letter reminding them of the law. If three letters are sent, the force will carry out further investigation.

What if a driver is caught driving at excessive speed?

How do community speed watch volunteers monitor the speed of drivers?

Most of the community speed watch activity will take place in residential areas, with speed limits of 30-40mph, so driving at excessive speed is a serious offence. If a vehicle is reported for such an ‘offence’ the local police force is likely to take the case further with a ‘strongly-worded’ letter. Prosecution will not be possible from the speed watch team’s recording.

What happens to the details then?

Will that mean motorists who drive excessively fast will get away with it? No. Many forces say they will actively ‘target’ repeat offenders for ‘enforcement’. Make sure you’re up to date with the new speeding fines that came into force April 2017

Volunteers use hand-held devices that tell them the speed at which drivers are travelling through their ‘patch’. When a driver is going a set amount above the speed limit – typically around 10% – the vehicle’s registration, make, model and colour are recorded. A spreadsheet of the offenders’ details is then passed to the local police force, who are likely to also add them to a national database.

Will the driver get a ticket?

These schemes are predominantly about education, meaning no speeding tickets will be issued. Additionally, most schemes use equipment that is not of the correct specification, so issuing a penalty would not be possible on a legal footing. 20

When and where can the speed watch volunteers operate?

The volunteers must operate in a location that has been approved by the police. They must also only operate during daylight hours.

New community group for all ages and backgrounds launching in Bristol New community group for all ages and backgrounds launching in Bristol Leading housing association Sovereign has given £1,010 funding to support the launch of a new community inclusion group in Bristol. Safe Space, created by Sovereign’s Youth Panel member Jess, launches at Easton Community Centre on Tuesday 7 September, from 2.30pm-4.30pm and is open to people of all ages and backgrounds living in the area. Together, the group will organise fun activities, including a range of arts and crafts, board games, "Taskmaster"-type challenges adapted from the TV show, cooking and baking. Jess said: “According to the Office for National Statistics, levels of loneliness in Great Britain have increased, with 7.2% of people surveyed between October 2020 and February 2021 saying they felt lonely “often” or “always”. 22

“I realised there are a lot of people out there who have been really isolated, especially following the pandemic. Safe Space is somewhere anyone can come along to, to find friendly faces and a bit of community compassion. “The community centre is fully accessible and people can come for as little as ten minutes or as long as the whole session.” Daisy Mummery, Sovereign’s Community Development Officer, added: “It's been great working with Jess to develop her idea to start up Safe Space. “I'm excited to see where Safe Space goes in the future. Jess is a huge asset to Sovereign’s youth panel and the whole community.” For more information on Safe Space, please click the images above.

Out and about this week in Brislington with Jos and Andrew Another round-up of local news from your hardworking Lib Dem team. Local newsletter out now: We are currently distributing our quarterly newsletter to every household across the ward. If you haven’t received it by the end of the week, please let us know and we’ll endeavour to get a copy to you. We rely on local volunteers to help us with this task and we are very grateful for their help and support. If you can spare an hour or two every few months and would like to deliver to a street or two in your area, please message us. Rubble on road: After the recent, heavy rain, a lot of rubble has been washed off back alleyways and ended up across the junction of Hillsborough and Whitby Roads. This is a potential hazard and needs to be cleared so we have contacted the Council. Blocked drains reported: Yet more blocked drains have been spotted in the ward. This latest one is on Sandy Park Road at the entrance to the alleyway adjacent to the furniture shop. Please send us pictures and locations of any blocked drains and we’ll report them to the Council. With recent heavy downpours it’s imperative our drains are kept clear to help prevent flooding.

24

Recycling centre: Glad to see the recycling centre at our local branch of Sainsbury’s is being kept clean and tidy these days. We had to talk to the duty manager on a couple of occasions in the past due to the appalling litter at the site. Well done, Sainsbury’s. Now all we need are some EV recharging points! Make Votes Matter: The Liberal Democrats believe in electoral reform with a fairer voting system in which the number of seats a political party wins is in proportion to their share of the vote. This weekend we joined our friends at the Make Votes Matter street stall in Wapping Wharf, talking to local people about proportional representation and getting dozens of signatures on our petition. If you would like to get involved and join us at a future Make Votes Matter event, please check out the Facebook page: https://www.facebook. com/groups/400296670338367/ Housing forum: The next round of Housing Forums for council tenants is taking place online in September. These meetings are open to all council tenants and leaseholders across the city. The Forums provide an opportunity for council tenants and leaseholders to have a say on how the housing service is run and make suggestions about improvements. The Forum meeting details are below:

Format: Citywide online Housing Forum Date: Wednesday 15th September 2021 Time: 1pm – 3pm (afternoon) Topic: Resident Engagement, find out more about the ways residents can get involved and have their say on housing services. Format: Citywide online Housing Forum Date: Monday 20th September 2021 Time: 6pm – 8pm Topic: Home Choice Bristol, a look at the system Bristol City Council and our partners use to allocate homes within the city, and discussion about how the system currently works. If you would like to attend a forum, you can book a place online at http://www.bristol. gov.uk/LocalHousingForums Following registration, further details will be sent to confirm bookings and provide the Zoom link/ dial in number to join the meeting.

The strategy includes proposed top priorities for the coming five years, taking account of major challenges like COVID-19 and recovery, climate change, the ecological emergency and tackling structural inequality and poverty in the city. The One City Plan has provided an important evidence base in shaping the priorities. Hog HQ joins Wapping Wharf's growing community

Bristol independent business The Jolly Hog has moved its headquarters, known as Hog HQ, to the city's harbourside neighbourhood, Wapping Wharf. The Jolly Hog is a Bristol-based, family-run business, which sells award-winning British outdoor-bred, RSPCA Assured sausages and bacon, with its brand now available in major supermarkets including Asda, Tesco's, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Ocado. With a team of 13, including owners, co-founders and brothers Max, Josh and Olly Kohn, the business also has a much-loved eatery, Pigsty, which is already based at Wapping Wharf within CARGO, a popular hub of independent businesses housed in converted shipping containers. The Jolly Hog has now moved its base into its newly fitted out office, also made of converted shipping containers, along Museum Street next to CARGO 2. Having previously been located on Gloucester Road, Hog HQ moved into its events storage space in Frampton Cotterell at the onset of the pandemic, not anticipating its stay would last 18 months at the time. The Jolly Hog's exciting new HQ office at Wapping Wharf provides an open plan workspace for staff, a board room for meetings and kitchen, which will be used for food photography and product development, as well as space for entertaining. Max Kohn, co-founder of The Jolly Hog, said: “We are really looking forward to being in Wapping Wharf, the atmosphere down there is amazing. It’s also a great food hub and inspiration for our retail new product development.

28

The office itself is looking just how we wanted it, and you can hardly miss us if you walk past! The new location will aid our retail business alongside Pigsty and we are really looking forward to that. Thanks to Stuart and the team at Umberslade for all their help too." Stuart Hatton, managing director at Umberslade, the developer of Wapping Wharf, said: "We are delighted to welcome Hog HQ to Wapping Wharf. Pigsty has been part of the CARGO community since the very early days; it's been great to see this wonderful independent business go from strength to strength over the years and now expand its presence within the neighbourhood. We wish the whole team all the best with the exciting next chapter in their Jolly Hog adventures." The Jolly Hog was originally founded in 2007 when Olly was playing rugby for the Harlequins and was out of action with an injury. With extra time on his hands and an extra large love of sausages, Olly started making his own using a sausage-making machine bought for him as a present. Josh and Olly joined forces and The Jolly Hog was born with Max helping with events initially before moving back to Bristol from London in 2011. The rest is history - and to this day the sausage making machine is kept in Pigsty at Wapping Wharf. Hog HQ is based in the unit formerly home to the Wapping Wharf Living marketing suite. Wapping Wharf is in the heart of Bristol's historical and cultural quarter, with its tree-lined pedestrian and cycle route, Gaol Ferry Steps, providing an important connection between south Bristol to the city centre. Now home to over 40 independent businesses, many of which are based within CARGO, Wapping Wharf is home to some of the city's best independent restaurants, shop, cafes and lifestyle businesses.

What's all the buzz about? A South Gloucestershire housing development's on-site beekeeper is calling out for volunteers to help him care for the community's smallest and busiest residents. 81 year old Alan Stott, from Chipping Sodbury, manages the hives at David Wilson Homes' community at Ladden Garden Village, Yate. David Wilson Homes installed the beehives as part of its drive to enhance and protect wildlife and biodiversity on and around the communities it is building. Alan, who has been tending to beehives around South Gloucestershire for over a decade, is now looking to recruit members of the local community of all ages to learn more about the hives and help care for the pollenating honey-makers. A Friends of the Beehive group is being set up by Alan and David Wilson Homes, which is contacting its residents at Ladden Garden Village to encourage them to join. Local residents are being invited to the Bee's Needs event on Sunday 5th of September for a free, fun and educational afternoon at Ladden Garden Village. The event has been set up by the Ladden Garden Village Action Group. 30

Alan will be demonstrating with the community's hives at the event, showing people how to look after them, and recruiting for volunteers to help with the hives. Event participants will also be offered bee and honey-related goody bags to take home. Alan's passion for beekeeping began when the eldest of his grandsons, Joe, now 17, decided that he himself wanted to look after a hive of his own. Joe joined the South Gloucestershire Beekeepers Association and got his first colony of honeybees for his eighth birthday. Alan took classes with him on the subject and much like a bee with pollen, found himself drawn to the subject. Ten years down the line, Alan now has a range of hives under his care, with his latest right in the heart of South Gloucestershire's newest community, Ladden Garden Village. The now well established hive has been thriving for 3 years on the development of two, three and four-bedroom homes. Alan also holds talks on "The Mysteries of the Beehive" and interactive workshops for communities which help teach people the ins and outs of bee keeping.

One of Alan's current students includes his youngest grandson, 12 year old Jacob, who regularly helps his granddad with the bees - which can get to numbers of 60,000 in summer months within just one hive. Alan said: "When I started those night classes I'd never had a pet, not even a goldfish, but once I was in, I was in. It's addictive as there's always more to learn. There's just something about looking after the hive which makes you happy.

This hive and the Friends of the Beehive group will not only help to build the community here, but will offer people a chance to reconnect with nature and hopefully learn some new bee-based skills along the way! Installing beehives on the new development is part of our drive to protect and enhance biodiversity on and around the new communities we are building. And we know that access to nature and the protection of wildlife have become increasingly important to people when they're looking for a new home."

"I think the key thing with beekeeping is that everyone can get into it, no matter of age, I'm in my 80s and my grandson's a teenager after all! Anyone with an interest in nature and animals would be ideal - but really you just need to learn about the bees - they know what they're doing when it comes to the flowers!"

Ladden Garden Village in Yate offers a wide range of homes in a flourishing community, from two-bedroom homes ideal for first-time buyers or people looking to downsize or retire, to three-storey town houses, semi-detached and detached homes, suitable for growing families.

Louise Ware, sales director for David Wilson Homes South West added:

The development will also include a primary school, nursery, community and retail facilities. In addition, Ladden Garden Village will offer 32 acres of public, open space with 600 new trees being planted, 4 acres of new woodland and hedgerows, plus new allotments and sports pitches.

"We are so thrilled to have Alan helping us with the hive here at Ladden Garden Village and can't wait for residents and people in the area to come and get involved.

Commenting on his favourite aspects of beekeeping, Alan added: "The thing I enjoy most has to be when the new bees emerge after the queen lays her eggs. That's when you know you're doing something right and you've listened to what the bees need. That's what beekeeping is all about, understanding what the bees want you to do and not the other way around." People who join the Friends of the Beehive group will be taught by Alan and shown how to look after the hive at Ladden Garden Village, they will then have the opportunity to go on to join the South Gloucestershire Bee Society to obtain their beekeepers certification. Those who wish to be involved with the new Friends of the Beehive group can register their interest with Alan at the free community event on the 5th of September. The Bee's Needs event will be held at Ladden Garden Village from 13:00 until 16:00 at the show homes and by the new ‘Home from Home' pavilion on Leechpool Way. To request to have a stall please call Live West on 07921 386873.

This week’s movies previews This summer, Oscar® winner Jordan Peele unleashes a fresh take on the bloodchilling urban legend that your friend’s older sibling probably told you about at a sleepover: Candyman. Rising filmmaker Nia DaCosta (Little Woods) directs this contemporary incarnation of the cult classic.

Candyman 2021

John O’Groats, Scotland: An elderly man, Tom (Spall), whose wife has just passed away uses only local buses on a nostalgic trip to carry her ashes all the way across the UK to Land’s End, where they originally met, using his free bus pass. Unbeknownst to Tom, his journey begins to capture the imagination of the local people that he comes across and, ultimately, becomes a nationwide story.

The Last Bus IIn his acclaimed debut as a filmmaker, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson presents a powerful and transporting documentary— part music film, part historical record created around an epic event that celebrated Black history, culture and fashion. Over the course of six weeks in the summer of 1969, just one hundred miles south of Woodstock, The Harlem Cultural Festival was filmed in Mount Morris Park (now Marcus Garvey Park). The footage was never seen and largely f orgotten–until now. SUMMER OF SOUL shines a light on the importance of history to our spiritual well-being and stands as a testament to the healing power of music during times of unrest, both past and present.

Construction on Bristol’s HWRC is progressing well

Construction of a new household waste and recycling centre (HWRC) in Bristol is to take a step further this week, as a purpose-built reuse shop is set to be installed. The Recycling Centre, based on Hartcliffe Way in the south of the city, will be managed by the council own waste contractor, Bristol Waste Company. Due to open to the public next year, the site was visited by Bristol mayor Marvin Rees yesterday (24 August) to see how the works are progressing.

Site

According to the Bristol Waste Company, the site based on Hartcliffe Way will be one of the “largest in the region”.

He continued: “We are proud to be the leading English Core City for recycling, but we know there is always more that can be done, and this new facility will help us to reach our ambitious recycling targets. “Part of our commitment to making Bristol cleaner and greener is further reducing the amount of waste that is sent to landfill, and this centre will help us to achieve this goal by supporting people to recycle, repair and reuse – giving pre-loved items a second life.”

Avonmouth

The centre will be the second of its kind in Bristol, with the first combined HWRC and reuse shop having opened in Avonmouth in June 2020.

Mr Rees said he was “delighted” to see the developments already made, and the “good work” happening the process. 38

Your Garden In September

Summer is coming to an end with the month of September generally being a cooler month than August. The days are becoming noticeably shorter, but the weather is, however usually warm and calm, giving us the ideal conditions to plant trees and shrubs. It’s a great time of the year to appreciate those long lasting plants that flower into autumn and if you have a fruit or vegetable patch you’ll be busy reaping the rewards of a hopefully successful harvest. Don’t forget - if you look forward to a great spring display of colour then now is the time to buy and plant your bulbs. Whatever you’re doing in your garden this month, be sure to make the most of the remaining warmth while you can.

Divide herbaceous perennials September is a good month to lift and divide summer-flowering herbaceous perennials. Most perennials need to be divided every three to five years as the plant can become too big for the border and become congested. Dividing will invigorate the plant and help to improve flowering and overall shape next year. Gently dig out the plant you want to divide, being careful not to damage the roots. Use a garden fork to separate the plant into two then shake of any excess soil and replant in your chosen spot as soon as possible. 42

Take Perennial cuttings Take cuttings of perennials such as fuchsia, salvia, verbena, penstemon and chrysanthemum. It’s a great way to increase the number of plants you have for your summer display and there’s something really satisfying about seeing plants grow that you’ve created yourself. Find some strong growth that hasn’t flowered this year and cut a 5 - 10 cm stem just below a leaf joint. Strip the leaves from the lower stem and leave one or two pairs at the top. Dip the end in hormone rooting powder and plant in pots of compost mixed with grit. Leave the pots somewhere bright and warm until rooted then re-pot into larger containers. Over winter in the greenhouse or conservatory. Plant spring flowering bulbs Bulbs make a fine display planted in containers and borders, especially Tulips, Snowdrops and Daffodils. They are one of the easiest and most rewarding plants to grow and are great for adding colour to spring borders.

Tulips come in a huge variety of colours and bloom at a time of year when there is very little colour in the garden. snowdrops, appearing before the tulips, are one of the earliest flowering plants in the garden. When the snowdrops begin to fade, the daffodil begins to appear, with its cheery shades of yellow brightening the borders.

Looking good this month Hebe ‘Bowles’s Variety’ Why should you plant them? Hebe ‘Bowles’s Variety’ is an evergreen, rounded shrub with ovate, glossy green leaves that make a very attractive plant for borders and containers. Easy to care for, this Hebe is drought tolerant and flowers prolifically in summer. How should you plant them ? The variety of Hebe flowers best when planted in full sun. the addition of a good quality compost when planting is essential to prevent the roots becoming too dry. After flowering, sheer back dead flower stems to keep the plant looking full.

UK GOVERNMENT HYDROGEN STRATEGY LAUNCHED

Dale Edwards, a Green Energy Strategic Consultant with national law firm Clarke Willmott LLP, comments on the UK Government’s eagerly awaited launch of its hydrogen plan.

In certain respects, the UK could be considered to be ahead of the curve in terms of the production of renewable hydrogen projects. To maintain competitive advantage globally, it will be interesting to see how the plan will develop in the future including the public consultation period on which a hydrogen business model will be adopted.

Following on from the Government’s 10-point plan for a Green Industrial Revolution, significant prominence has been placed in the role that hydrogen could play in driving the growth of low carbon economy. In the Energy White Paper, a stated objective of producing 5GW capacity by 2030 was announced, along with Government analysis suggesting that 20-35% of the UK’s energy consumption by 2050 could be hydrogen-based, raising expectations.

The Green Energy Sector Group at Clarke Willmott have been actively discussing and planning for the future low carbon economy. Keeping clients updated with developments both legal and sector-wide, along with writing articles and hosting and participating in events.

With a vision to kick start a world-leading hydrogen economy, which has the potential to support over 9,000 UK jobs and unlock £4 billion investment by 2030, there is a significant commercial carrot, which could increase exponentially. From a pure environmental perspective, a low-carbon hydrogen economy could deliver emissions savings equivalent to the carbon captured by 700 million trees by 2032, an opportunity that cannot be ignored. Clarke Willmott welcomed the plan presented by the Government and funding to aid these objectives.

Many Clarke Willmott clients have expressed interest in finding out more about how their business could benefit from the commercial and environmental development of hydrogen including commercial and passenger transport firms, engineering firms working in the green energy sector, developers considering district heating schemes and investors to name but a few. With over twenty years of experience in the green energy sector our cross disciplinary team of solicitors are here to support our clients and achieve their goals.
