Love saved the day last weekend!

Attendances were approx 10,000 Friday, 21,000 Saturday and 19,000 Sunday

It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves at Love Saves the Day Festival on the Downs last weekend. The festival consisted of one main stage that gathered large crowds to listen to the upbeat music on Saturday, we also had the benefits of having another 3 smaller stages, that were equally as good the main stage, with the DJ’s and UK artists performing their music sets to some awesome light shows and flames spewing from the stage. It was a pleasure to see that the festival and team had considered a number of extra facilities that would be needed to cater for the mass gathering of over 50,000 festival-goers over the 3 day weekend, by having additional toilets and bins located on Durham Downs. All the staff were friendly and very helpful throughout the weekend. We were also delighted with the number of local stalls and businesses there was that people were supporting by buying or using their services in the festival. Safety was at the heart of the festival along with lateral flow testing being required 10 twenty-four hours before arriving.

Overall it was a spectacular event for everyone, the sunshine and great music was a joy to attend, when we spoke to some of the people in the festival they said: They came as far away as Leeds to enjoy this amazing concert and did not want to miss out on some of the normality that we are getting back in to this year.
