THIS WEEK’S ROUND-UP OF LOCAL NEWS IN BRISLINGTON

Another round-up of local news from your hardworking Lib Dem team.

ARNOS COURT PARK NEW PATH UPDATE: Following our complaint to Bristol City Council regarding the new, not-fit-forpurpose path in Arnos Court Park, we had a meeting with an officer from the council. He agreed that the new path is poor quality and won’t last, communication between officers and councillors was sadly lacking and what has been delivered is not what the Friends group won funding for.

Unfortunately, due to budgetary constraints, a tarmac path is unlikely to be delivered any time soon, so we are looking at alternative improvements. We have a Community Infrastructure Levy meeting with other councillors on 10 November, when we will highlight the problems we have faced. It would appear that many schemes will be delayed or altered due to staffing issues and costs of materials and even accessing materials. It’s all rather depressing.
