All ELC Experience English schools offer the following: Weekly progress testing: a classroom test to assess how much you have learnt and establish areas you may need to work on. Independent learning plans: a tailor-made plan to help you make the most of your time outside the classroom and use our facilities effectively. Individual tutorials every month: a meeting with your teacher to discuss your development, review your goals or focus on a specific area of study. Online resources: a wide range of learning materials and resources that you can use from the moment you book to up to six months after you complete your course with us. Extra sessions and contact time: a balanced variety of free teacher-led activities, such as book clubs, conversation groups, seminars and themed social events. Upgrade your course We also offer a Premium Class option. Academic Excellence Choosing the perfect course for you Whatever your goals, there’s a course that’s right for you – whether you choose to study for a week or a year. General English is our most popular course and is designed to improve every aspect of a learner’s English, from beginner (A1) through to proficiency (C2) level. English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses are the ideal foundation for students who wish to develop the skills required to study in an academic environment or sit official exams in order to gain university entry. This could be a standard Academic English course or a preparation course for IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, Cambridge. English for Specific Purposes (ESP) includes a range of professional courses in which executives can study a tailor-made programme, in a specialist industry field, in small groups or individually. On your first day, you will be tested to assess your level of competency and then assigned a class accordingly. You will also have your tour and induction, during which you will learn more about the school you are studying in.
A range of fun social events is organised at each school. These might include social activities in the school and also excursions in your host city and beyond. You will be given the chance to discover and enjoy the UK with your teachers and classmates on weekdays and at the weekend.
Our e-learning facilities allow for continued access to our range of online resources, and the opportunity to continue studying for up to six months after your course ends.

The Story of My Success
The Story of My Success I spent 6 months studying General English at ELC London Hampstead. My English skills needed improving and I was a bit out of practice, but I received fantastic support and tuition over the course of my stay. I graduated two years ago in Civil Engineering and began working with an engineering firm in my home town of Geneva. I was soon granted nine months’ sabbatical leave to improve my English language skills. I chose to study with the ELC Group because the course information was clearly accessible and I was able to test my proficiency and book onto an intermediate General English course with ease. The General English course was perfect for my needs and meant I was able to build up my confidence levels and all-round English language skills in a communicative and student-centred setting. The staff were fantastic, clearly prioritising my specific needs and those of my classmates, meaning we all felt fully supported and able to learn. Studying in London gave me a chance to experience student life in the UK and I really got to know the city. I had access to loads of fun social activities like the weekly pub night and guided tours around famous landmarks with my teachers. I stayed with a friendly London host who encouraged my English further, and I made some lifelong friends from around the globe. As my trip came to an end I was able to sit the First Certificate of English exam and passed. As an accredited Cambridge ESOL examination centre, I was able to conveniently sit my exam at school. Now I’m back in Switzerland and my company is delighted with the results and I feel I’ll be able to progress in the organisation thanks to my new skills. Studying at ELC London Hampstead was a truly unforgettable experience and I’m hoping to go back in the summer for a couple of weeks as part of my holiday.

Where to Stay We offer a range of accommodation options to suit the needs of our students. Each option is designed to provide a secure and comfortable living environment for the duration of your stay and allow you to experience life in the UK. Homestay Homestay is our most popular accommodation option and gives you the chance to experience life in a real home and to interact with your English-speaking host. We have developed long-lasting relationships with our homestay hosts to ensure they provide a warm, welcoming environment for our students and encourage you to practise your skills as much as possible.
Studio Accommodation Private studio accommodation is an ideal option for more independent students. Offered on a self-catering basis, studio accommodation allows for privacy in a secure environment and you will have a private room complete with en-suite bathroom and a shared or private kitchen. All facilities are provided to allow for independent study and have wi-fi.
Residence Accommodation A student residence is a popular option for those looking to embrace every aspect of student life and live with other learners in an independent environment. This might range from student living on a university campus to a sharing a house and, in most instances, this is on a self-catering basis.
Hotels Many students are much more comfortable staying in a hotel or guesthouse during their study period and we use our expert local knowledge to provide options to suit different budgets.
Family Options We can also advise on self-catering serviced apartments in the city you choose to study in. This is a great option for professionals and also families opting to come over to study with us. Call us to discuss your requirements.
