Professional counselors provide free multilingual support during pre-enrollment procedures. After enrolling, in addition to classes, professional career counselors will support you in continuing yourstudies and finding a job, so that you can realize your dreams after graduation.

Ikebukuro, located in the northwestern part of Tokyo, is lined with terminal station buildings and is a hotspot for subculture such as manga and cosplay. The ISI Ikebukuro Campus is located in the same building as ISIʼs vocational school which is also attended by Japanese students. Sharing the same building with Japanese students gives you the opportunity to interact with Japanese students.
Known as a student town, the area is home to many educational institutions including Waseda University. There are many reasonably priced restaurants and cafes, giving Takadanobaba a livel atmosphere for students and young people. In addition, the JR Yamanote Line, Tozai Line, and Seibu Shinjuku Line run through the area, making it a convenient location for activities and job hunting in Japan.
The Shibuya area is a major business hub that continues to transmit new culture to the world and is home to many IT-related companies, including Google. The Shibuya Schoolʼs first building is located near Aoyama-dori Avenue, and the second building is located along Meiji-dori Avenue in Harajuku. Top University Preparation Class:
We offer a special advanced class for students who wish to enter difficult-to-enter universities and graduate schools in Japan. The pace of these class is faster than the regular curriculum, and every year many students advance to prestigious universities and graduate schools.
Electives:
Once you reach Intermediate II level and above classes, you can take elective classes for graduate school entrance, EJU exam preparation, and JLPT exam preparation. Students will acquire the necessary examination preparation and Japanese language skills to enter higher education in Japan.
Preparatory school operation ( for Chinese language speakers ):

Throughout the year, information sessions are held by universities for ISI Japanese language school students. University tours are also held from time to time, and students have the opportunity to participate in campus tours and trial classes. This support is only possible because ISI is one of the largest Japanese language schools in Japan.
Admission to Group School:
Students have an advantage when entering vocational schools and universities operated by the ISI group. There are application privileges only for ISI Japanese language school students, and we have a full support system including preparation of application documents and visa renewals.
Enhancement of designated school recommendations:
Our School has received designated school recommendation slots from higher education institutions throughout Japan, and many students have taken advantage of these slots. Not only do these recommendations simplify the examination process, it also allows students to receive tuition reductions and scholarships.

As an art major, it was very difficult to prepare my portfolio and send my work off to schools, but my homeroom teacher at ISI helped me with writing the correct Japanese for my documents and with various other checks.

ISIʼs Kyoto campus is close to Ritsumeikan University, so I often studied at the university library. My classmates were from many different countries, with only three Chinese students including myself. My homeroom teacher was kind and caring.
In ISIʼs special classes, there is a public speaking class every month, and the teachers helped me prepare for it. As I practiced my speech repeatedly, I became less nervous, which helped me during interviews.
During the mock interviews at ISI, the Japanese teachers helped me by explaining and giving advice on my weak points. There were many such mock interviews, which were very useful for the actual interviews.

This is a status of residence for those who have a university degree or equivalent or significant work experience, and who wish to work for a Japanese company or organization making use of their skills.
ISI Japanese Language School will help you develop the Japanese language skills, business skills, and social skills required by companies, and at the same time, back up your overall job-hunting activities with career support, which is one of ISIʼs strengths.
Specified Skilled Worker (See page 25)
This is a status of residence that allows foreign nationals to work in Japan if they possess a certain level of skill or knowledge in a specific field and pass an examination related to their Japanese language proficiency level. This is a good option for foreign students, regardless of their academic background, who wish to acquire skills and work in Japan.
ISI Japanese Language School will support students in the fields of “Accommodation” and “Food service” to improve their Japanese language skills, obtain the Specified Skilled Worker visa and find employment. We also plan to expand our support in the “transportation industry” and other fields where driver shortages is becoming an issue.

Japanese language skills:
Students will learn the basics of Japanese language skills as well as practical “Japanese for business” according to their stage of study, while also learning conversational Japanese, Kanji, grammar and reading comprehension in a well-balanced manner.
Business skills:
Students will learn skills necessary for various business situations, such as answering phone calls, emails, meetings, business negotiations, presentations, etc., and learn how to adapt to Japanese job hunting and corporate culture.
Social skills:
As one of the “group activites (cooperative learning) ,” we conduct collaborative projects with companies and universities beyond the framework of a Japanese language school. This program enhances studentsʼ skills to understand othersʼ situations and feelings, and to proactively carry out their own roles in collaboration with others.
By acquiring basic Japanese language skills and passing a skills assessment test, students aim to find employment in fields where there are active recruitment plans.
Our experienced staff will help you connect with companies
We will introduce part-time jobs related to the accommodation and food service industries with the goal of finding employment under the Specified Skilled Worker No.1 system.
After passing the skills assessment test, we will introduce (match) you to job oppotunities at our partner companies.
We will support you in applying for permission to change your status of residence after receiving a job offer.
Elective classes allow students to plan and study in order to pass the skills assessment test. You will repeatedly attempt exam preparation questions using the LMS*.

This course is available for those with the intention of studying from 1 year to a maximum of 2 years with a student visa.
* Shibuya � Takadanobaba Campus is 1 to 2 years, and Nagano Campus is 1 year and 6 months to 2 years.
This course is for students coming to Japan with a residency status other than a student visa, who wish to study Japanese for at least 2 weeks.
* Those who wish to be enrolled for 1 year or more on a working holiday visa or a Japanese spouse visa may also take this course.
Students can take classes for as short as two weeks, allowing them to learn Japanese well even in a short period of time. Students learn the major practical components of the language (“listening,” “reading,” “speaking,” and “writing”) and language knowledge (“vocabulary” and “grammar”) systematically according to their Japanese level.
This course is designed for those who wish to improve their Japanese language and business skills at the same time and advance their careers in a short period of time. Students will learn practical “Japanese for business” from beginner level, aiming to master Japanese communication necessary in business situations, appropriate keigo expressions, and written and spoken Japanese.
This course is for those who want to study while working or for those for whom daytime classes alone are not enough. Three times a week on weekdays (19:10 - 20:50), students can make use of their evening hours to study Japanese conversation intensively and polish their conversational skills for everyday situations. You can also choose to study online in a hybrid format, so you can continue the course without any stress.
This is ISI Japanese Language Schoolʼs original and popular summer program that combines Japanese language lessons with a variety of activities. The program emphasizes exposure to various aspects of Japanese culture in order to improve communication skills in Japanese in a short period of time, and has a growing number of students repeating the course.
In Nagano, a snow resort area, participants will experience skiing, hot springs, cultural experiences, and international exchange while learning Japanese. This program is highly reputed for its significant improvement in Japanese language skills, as students study in classes at the most appropriate Japanese level and use the language they have learned in the activities.
By having a meeting with each student in advance to discuss in detail his / her learning goals, Japanese level, and course schedule, etc., we are able to provide individualized and optimal Japanese language lessons that meet each studentʼs needs and desires. We also offer personal lessons and group lessons for companies.
