CONTEMPORARY ELEGANCE B REGUET

Abraham-Louis Breguet was not only a gifted watchmaker and inventor, he was also one of the very first designers. When he founded his manufactory in Paris in 1775, Baroque was all the rage. Yet he brought the neoclassical style to watchmaking, an aesthetic vision that gave dials an avant-garde look while making it easier to read the indications on the watch. His creations include the Breguet watch hands, which have since been named after him, with their open-worked Pomme tip, their guilloché finish, and the eccentrically arranged dial.

This ultimate achievement was echoed on his pocket watches from 1812 onward, solidifying the brand’s DNA. This collection also puts the spotlight on innovative and more functional intricacies inspired by the pocket watches of the 18th and 19th centuries. They are easy-to-handle timepieces, just as the brand’s founder had wanted them to be. Inspired by these achievements, the first interpretation of the Classique 8068 wristwatch was created in 2003. The 2022 version is a contemporary and elegant expression of this timepiece, preserving the powerful hallmarks of the Classique collection. This new interpretation of the Classique Dame model features a contemporary dial and allows wearers to change the strap easily whenever they want. Available in white and rose gold, this ladies’ watch rounds out Breguet’s current collection.

From now on, it will be as easy to change the style of your Classique 8068 watch as it is to slip on another pair of shoes. For the first time in the Breguet collections, the brand is offering three interchangeable straps in the same boxed set. The rapid interchange system has been designed to allow the wearer to easily and independently switch from one strap to another without any need for tools. n
