Bourne Branch of the N.S.P.C.C. would like to thank all followers for their support

in the past and wish everyone a Happy Christmas and New Year. They hope to get back to fundraising at some point in the new year as the charity is so important during these difficult times.

Bourne U3A is still up and running, albeit via

Zoom. The next general meeting, via Zoom, will be on December 14th at 2.00pm. This will include a virtual presentation by Mike Storr on “Masters of Mirth - the Sequel.” He will talk about the beginning of Music Hall and some of his favourite characters. If anyone wishes to be included in the Bourne U3A Zoom meeting but does not have access details, please contact chairperson Malcolm Scriven at e-mail chairman@u3abourne.org.uk.

Stamford Arts Centre

1st - 31st: Lyngo Theatre presents Play@Home, a creative-play project for families with children under 10. Lyngo Theatre have developed a way to have that ‘Christmas Show’ experience for those of you who are not able to get to the theatre this year. It is a creative-play project which will get you ready for your big celebration. Lyngo Theatre have developed a show that you can actually do at home, not just watch! By following the fun instructional videos in the weeks leading up to Christmas you’ll make props and table-top sets from recycled materials and household objects, invent your own sensory sessions and take a creative-play journey together as a family through a garden of delights. They provide music, songs, and narration so you can tell the story of how winter got its colours, using household objects and your own Christmas tree. At the end of this you will have made, played, and stayed together which, after all, is the true meaning of Christmas! You will receive an invitation via email from Lyngo Theatre with all the materials you need for this activity. You will need to create a log-in for thinkific.com to access these materials. Cost £12 per family. Tickets available to book until midnight on Wednesday December 30th. 11th: Jazz in the Cellar Bar: 8pm on 14th: “Mini Mondays” 10:30am on . Interactive storytelling with Kirsty from Rhubarb Theatre.

30th: McGoldrick, McCusker and Doyle “Christmas

at Home.” An online music concert featuring a diverse mix of classic Christmas melodies, traditional and contemporary songs and tunes. Tickets £12. The Stamford and Guildhall Arts Centres have a YouTube channel where you can watch the latest online performances, some of which are subject to a time limit.

18th: Cuttin’ Loose at the Nags Head, Bourne. 31st: New Year’s Eve at the Nags Head: Revolver in a Mauritius beach theme and celebrating their new year at 9pm. Starts at 7:30pm. Meals optional from 5pm. All places for both must be booked, due to limited numbers, and assuming the rules pre-lockdown go back to the same format.
