The event will exhibit examples of good practice: a successful process, project, procedure or strategy, across diverse areas of activity across campus to be shared with the wider UCC community. Submissions accepted from areas of Education, Training, Research and Professional Support Services.
Submissions from those fundamental within the creation, development or implementation of submitted case studies, especially from junior members of staff and students, highly encouraged.

College of Medicine and Health – Winter 2023 College Assembly The Winter College Assembly was held on the 18th of December at Brookfield Campus. Head of College, Professor Helen Whelton welcomed attendees and was delighted to be joined by colleagues, both in person and online. Professor Whelton presented the College Strategy Implementation Plan to the Assembly and presented staff updates in relation to recruitment, promotions and research funding successes. Commenting how immensely proud she is of valuable work being carried out across the College, wile continuing to work together to enhance health and wellbeing of communities globally. Professor Whelton was joined by Vice Heads; Dr. Aoife Fleming: Interprofessional Learning, Professor Mark McEntee: Learning and Teaching, Professor Gerard O’Keeffe: Research and Innovation, and Professor Yvonne: Nolan Graduate Studies, all of whom presented excellent overviews of the extensive and varied work carried out in their areas. It was a pleasure to see the excellence in Clinical and Health Science Education, Practice, Research and Innovation, from across the College, knowing the impact this will have on generations to come.

News Feature College of Medicine and Health - Men’s Health Symposium Masterclass in Behaviour Change Research and Launch of ‘E-MAT Study’ and ‘On the Ball’ Campaign Reports
The College of Medicine and Health, Men’s Health Symposium took place on Friday 24th of November at the Mardyke Pavilion Function Room, Mardyke Walk, Cork. Leading this research, Dr. Mohamad Saab, Senior Lecturer and Director of Graduate Studies at the School of Nursing & Midwifery, undertook two studies; the creation of E-MAT Virtual Reality (VR) game and 'On The Ball' campaign, collaborating with various national and international researchers. Facilitated by Dr. M. Rovito, Associate Professor, Department of Health Sciences, University of Central Florida, Dr. G. Shorter, Reader, School of Psychology, Queen’s University Belfast and Professor S. Robertson, Emeritus Professor, School of Health, Leeds Beckett University, the Masterclass in Behaviour Change Research aimed to raise awareness, motivating men to prioritise their health, while advocating testicular self-examination and prompt early seeking of assistance for symptoms related to testicular disease.
