Youth Take On Bowling and Burgers When we asked the Youth what activity they would like to do for a Youth event, the majority said Bowling and Hot Chocolate. We were relieved they didn’t say a Jets game and sushi! A great time was had by all as the Richer Fireside Youth and their families went Glow bowling to Deluxe Bowling Lanes in Steinbach, March 10. Afterwards everybody went to A&W and parents got a chance to chill with their kids on a Friday night. We as Youth leaders attended the Richer Community Club AGM on March 8 and were surprised with a cheque from the Guetre and Loewen families from the Richer Inn. We appreciate their generosity and ongoing financial support which helps us run a community Youth and cover costs of Youth events like Glow Bowling and Pizza nights. Thank you! Youth will meet on Friday April 7 and Friday April 21 from 7-9 pm at the Richer School gym. There is no cost but parents must register their Youth. For more info please call Michelle Driedger at 204 4245216 or email richerfiresideyouth@gmail.com.

Ready… Set… Go… Awanas Awana Grand Prix Night at the Richer Fellowship Church on March 22 was a great success. This soap box style race night featured a wide variety of cars which were all made by the contestants. This year’s entries included some cars made by parents who competed against each other in a separate catagory. Over fifty people attended this event which marked the end of the current 2016-2017 season. Awana resumes again in the Fall after summer holidays. Thank you to all the special people who volunteer to make this youth club such an asset to our community.
