Barrel Racing Jackpots Coming to Richer Get ready Richer as a group will be holding sanctioned Manitoba Barrel Racing Associations (MBRA) Jackpots every Wednesday starting May 30 until June 28 at the Dawson Trail Park. Plenty of space on the grandstands to bring the family out watch these riders compete for cash and points on the circuit. If you are interested in competing, you must have MBRA Membership with you when registering. Toonie runs start 6:30 pm Jackpot to follow at 7:00 pm.

Visit the Dawson Trail Museum this spring on May 5 as they present several amazing artisans in our gorgeous museum. Find the perfect gift for Mom or a special treat for yourself. Browse tables filled with beautiful yarn crafts, wood working and kids crafts. Up-cycled treasures, bath and beauty products and hand crafted jewellery. Also don’t forget all kinds of sweet treats including cookies, cakes, jams and other savoury treats. This will be an all hand crafted sale. Proceeds from the sale benefits the Dawson Trail Museum.

Wanting To Be Good And Nice

Thinking about some unique activities that will contribute to a created memory in the bank of life. Off course there are always others that contribute to our lives to make it more entertaining and enjoyable. Planning a couple of bike trips with friends, take in a few community events. Looking forward to become reacquainted again with people in our wonderful community. There is a favourite verse that influences me to remain more intentionally focused on the more basic things in life. “You have been told, O mortal, what is good, and what the Lord requires of you; Only to do justice and to love goodness (kindness) and to walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8). The Richer Community Club meeting is Wednesday, April 11, 7:30 pm at the LUD Community Hall. Saturday, April 14 and 28: Recycling Collection. 9:30 am - 12 noon. 1st stop Burnell’s Foods, 2nd Stop Richer Inn, 3rd stop Tibeauville, 4th stop Timberline, with the 5th stop at the Richer Husky where the recyclers will remain until noon. Recycling can also be dropped off in the recycling shed located in the Richer Husky parking lot at your convenience. Each Harvester must return used and unused past year’s tags, bring their harvester card with them and complete a questionnaire once at the hall concerning Big game hunt. Rummage Sale at the Museum

On May 24, 25 & 26 the Dawson Trail Museum committee will hold their annual Spring Rummage Sale fund raiser indoor at the museum at 67 Dawson Road East. Watch for hours next month. If you wish to donate items for the sale please contact Yvonne at 204-422-9369. All proceeds goes towards the Dawson Trail Museum renovations and maintenance.
