Country Night Draws Them in For Chase the Ace Frannie Klein wowed a packed crowd at the Richer Inn recently taking the stage shortly after the weekly Richer Community Chase the Ace draw. The evasive Ace of Spades is still up for grabs and the Jackpot has now grown to over $2,000.
SEINE RIVER SERVICES FOR SENIORS
The Seine River Services for Seniors are inviting you to donate your slightly used mobility aids to help the elderly who are in need of mobility assistance. Equipment such as rolling walkers, standard walkers, crutches, canes, wheelchairs and bath chairs will help give our seniors a little extra stability when it is required. For more information, please call the Resource coordinator, Julie Rowan, at 204-424-5285.
Mark Lanouette lays out the deck for the ticket winner to attempt to pick the Ace of Spades. Unfortunetly, she chose the 5 of hearts. The deck is not down about a half dozen cards so the odds are only getting better as the Jackpot grows.

Positively Influencing Where We Live By Pastor Ben Funk
The unusual warm winter temps that we have been experiencing in January, one begins to wonder whether we should begin to look for summer creatures. A father and son were in conversation when the boy said to his father. Dad, if three frogs were sitting on a limb that hung over a pool, and one frog decided to jump off into the pool, how many frogs would be left on the limb? Dad replied, two. No, the son replied. There are three frogs and one decided to jump, how many are left? Dad again replied, Oh, I get it, if one decides to jump, the others would follow. So there are none left. The boy once again said, no dad, the answer is three. The frog only DECIDED to jump. This illustrates to say that each of us should not just “decide” to change that which needs to be changed, but that we will actually change those things that need changing in our lives. To shape our lives in a way that will compliment being an enthusiastic and optimistic citizen in our community. You see, the creator of all things has a great concern for our community. He has a strategy set up to correct a lot of that and bring positive change to each of our lives. Ben Funk is pastor of the Richer Fellowship Church.
