Thanks to the Richer Fellowship Church who came out to the Dawson Trail Park and handled most of the food service and tirelessly drove the kids train around

Richer Fireside Youth... You Go Girl!

This year our Youth boys outnumbered our girls in a big way. As a result, the boys always seemed to have an unfair advantage over the girls. Pucks were stolen, snacks were inhaled, and burps always seem to find their way into every conversation boys have with girls, so before heading into summer… let’s just make things fair by sharing the “girls only” highlights of the past year.

From The Pastor’s Desk Paying It Forward

Greetings friends, relatives and acquaintances. By now summer and its activities are well underway. Vacation trips have been meticulously planned, and season spots are well groomed and being enjoyed. It is always fun to spend time with friends to do what you all enjoy. This past weekend, Canada Day, we had just that kind of time. Celebrations at the Richer Park were absolutely enjoyable. A great big thank you to the “Richer Community Club” for involving “Richer Fellowship Church” as part of the volunteer squad. I would also like to thank Pastor Heinrich Lautenschlager and his congregation for joining our team in manning the Barbeques, and serving in other roles. It is always exciting to meet many new people and serving others at the same time. Isn’t that what community is all about, giving and serving others? Sort of eves dropping on one conversation where the person was absolutely excited about paying things forward. The person suggested that that was a sense of community, that is what it is all about, paying it forward. I am reminded of a person that did exactly that for all of humankind, paying it forward. He (Jesus Christ) came to do for us what we were unable to do for ourselves, redeeming us from our hopeless future. He came to give His life so that we could live and give us hope. Because He paid it forward we are now able to be free from sin and death

and be alive to God. Cheers to Him. It is a great joy to be part of the community of Richer. Cheers to each of you. Have a fabulous summer… Pastor Ben Funk

RCC Bursaries Handed Out The Richer Community Club was proud to hand out two $250 Spirit of the Community Bursaries. RCC representative Katrina McPherson presented Tony Leclerc (left) and Faith Brown (centre) with their awards.
