Paving Project Goes to Hearing The RM of Ste. Anne is holding a public hearing on November 8 to discuss a proposed borrowing bylaw for $300,000 to pay for paving recently completed above the $200,000 they currently had raised towards the project. While a recent letter from the RM of Ste. Anne to residents of Richer talks of a tax increase, according to LUD committee members, it is just a technicality. The LUD plans to utilize money in their current budget to pay for the project over a multiple year period. The borrowing bylaw is necessary for them to allocate $50,000 of their existing annual budget to make payments over seven years. While the project is complete, ratepayers still have an opportunity to voice their support or concerns to the $300,000 borrowing bylaw by sending in letters of objection/support or attending the public hearing on November 8 at 11 am in the RM of Ste. Anne council chambers.
