Rodeo Weekend Draws Over 6,000 The 4th Annual Richer Rough Stock Rodeo is in the books with thousands of people attending over the weekend making it one of the largest community events in the region.

Saturday, September 10th and 24th: Recycling Collection. 9:30 am - 12 noon. 1st stop Burnell’s Foods, 2nd Stop Richer Inn, 3rd stop Tibeauville, 4th stop Timberline, with the 5th stop at the Richer Husky where the recyclers will remain until noon. Recycling can also be dropped off in the recycling shed located in the Richer Husky parking lot at your convenience. Paradise Squares Dance Club will begin their new season on Sept. 13 at 7 pm with a StartUp Dance at the Paradise Village Rec. Hall. Modern Square Dancing is fun and a great social activity. Dancing is Tuesday evenings from 7 – 9:30 pm. The Start-Up Dance is free for beginners and new dancers. Couples and singles are welcome. Coffee and doughnuts will be served. For further info contact Larry at 204-422-5424. Tuesday, September 27th: Deadline for submissions for the June issue of the EnRicher. Every Thursday: A.A. Meeting, 7:30-8:30 p.m. at LUD Hall. Open to all. The Richer Dawson Trail Museum committee will hold their annual Fall Supper on September 18 at the Richer Young at Heart hall from 4 pm to 7 pm. A roast beef supper will be served with all the trimmings. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children 6 to 12 years and children 5 and under dine for free. Tickets are available at the door. If you wish to make a monetary donation towards the activity please call Yvonne at 204-422-9369. Receipts will be issued for donation of $20 or greater. If you would like to volunteer your time to this event please call Terri at 204-422-6981. Come support our heritage museum. All profits goes towards the restoration and maintenance of the museum. The Richer Dawson Trail Museum Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 13 at the 67 Dawson Rd East at 1:30. Come and join us as we talk about the past year and our future plans including the Dawson Trail Museum.


Richer Fireside Youth

As Youth leaders, parents often ask us what the Youth can do for fun in the summer months. Some of us shared that we work as support staff at Fisher Bay Bible Camp up at Fisher River with maintenance, kitchen help, and camp counselling and that there are loads of activities to suit a variety of interests. This ignited some excitement and six youth along with three leaders headed up to camp this past August. It was a great opportunity for leaders to connect with

local youth on a “field trip,” and good for the youth to hang out with friends, learn skills such as paintballing and riflery, while attending Chapel twice a day. After returning home it was especially encouraging to hear the youth share how they were impacted hearing young people from around the province talk about God and the positive changes that took place in their lives. The Richer Crib Club held the last of the summer tournaments on August 9 with a pretty good turnout. Winners for the evening were: first place, Roger Andres, second place Dennis Brown, third was George Dmitruk, and fourth Regina Konge. They also had some extra booby prize winners this week to celebrate. They were Wally Adair, Lorna Saindon, and Mike Pelletier. The 50/50 draw was won by Carole Marleau. Congratulations to all the winners. Regular season crib starts on Tuesday, September 6 at the Young at Hearts hall and

continues every second week until April. Entry fee is $5, and no partner is needed. There is always lots of coffee, snacks and laughs so plan to come out and join them!
