Mentoring You will be asked to focus on one of the following casestudies and identify exactly how and why a mentoring schemecould help the club in question. Choosea spokesperson for your group who will assemble your ideas and present a 2–3minute summary of your findings.

CaseStudy 1 This club used to have 32 members but over time this number has dwindled to 11. Many members have attained their Competent Communicator (CC) awards and left. The remaining members are a mixture of well-established Toastmasters and a few new recruits who wonder if it is worth staying at the club. How would a mentoring schemehelp this club?

CaseStudy 2 This club has 28 members but is top-heavy with advanced speakers and has not achieved Distinguished Club status for years. When guests attend they feel intimidated by the high quality of the speakers and do not return. Exactly how would a mentoring schemehelp this club?

CaseStudy 3 This club has over 30 members, yet only achieved 2 CCslast year. New members seem to have to wait months before giving their icebreakers. What recommendations do you have regarding mentoring in order to help this club meet its established members’ and new members’ needs?

CaseStudy 4 This club has recently chartered with 21 members. 3 of the charter members already have CCsbut the other 18 are new to Toastmasters. Exactly how might a mentoring schemebe organised with so little experience available?
