My friends would tell you I’m genuine, funny, intelligent, and interesting. I care about my clients making the best decision for them, not me telling them what to do.

The family room, because it’s generally the most comfortable and the place people most often hang out together.

Luigi Parasmo Salon and Spa in Georgetown. Nothing like getting a great haircut from Luigi. It’s very relaxing.

Our favorite restaurant is Osteria da Nino in Shirlington followed closely by Joselito on Capitol Hill. I wish I frequented Off the Record at The Hay Adams Hotel more often.

I really enjoying gardening. We have over a half acre of land, much of which is wooded through which a small stream flows. We have deer, fox, raccoon, and loads of birds on a regular basis. From time to time we’ve had opossum, box turtle, salamander, and snakes. I love nature.

She is also passionate about traveling to learn how others live and work. She thoroughly enjoys meeting new people, understanding who they are and why they think the way they do. As far as Trish’s favorite vacation destination goes, that’s an easy pick. Martha’s Vineyard. She enjoys staying at a humble little cottage in Aquinnah with her husband and their twin daughters Molly and Reilly. They love hanging out with no agenda and no stress. Just bike rides, beach days, and eating ice cream every. single. day. When she does have some down time, you can find Trish at her favorite restaurant – Mira Belle’s, where she had one of her best anniversaries of her 28 years of marriage – or running in the Tidal Basin area, which is her favorite place to escape to in the District. She used to be a member of the DC Road Runners, and ran miles of DC races. “I spent many many hours running around the Basin… taking in the Cherry Trees, the snowy Potomac, and the Fall leaves of Rock Creek Park.” Trish has run 53 marathons – her first in 1988. She says, “I had no idea how to train for it. The only people that I knew who ran marathons back then were on TV and in the Olympics.” For 30 years when the gun goes off at the start of every marathon, Trish has listened to “Born To Run” by Bruce Springsteen. Trish brings the same stamina and perseverance to the process of buying and selling homes. Her passion is always what drives her to be a successful real estate agent.

Ron Mangas Meet Ron Mangas, Jr., a modernist with a passion for connecting people with places. With just about everything Ron is seriously interested in, he appreciates the detail and digs deep into the craft to understand the process. He loves abstract contemporary art and enjoys diving into the artist’s vision, or the chosen medium used to convey their expression. This ties together with his other passion(s), like interior design, hi-fi vintage stereos, vintage automobiles, or even his morning cup of coffee - it’s a labor of love. When we ask Ron about his favorite room in a house, he explains that it varies from home to home, but “it’s usually the social space or one that connects with the outdoors - or better - a space that can experience both.”

Ron loves intensely distilled architecture over ornamentation, and enjoys the display of structural elements with seemingly impossible physical results. He feels that modern design requires a delicate balance that is often missed when copied. He explains that trends come and go too, saying “great design is timeless, you know it when you see it.” When it comes to interior spaces, he loves incorporating iconic modernist furniture from the twentieth century, but finds it most exciting to apply contemporary designers, especially with an international selection available right here in the District. What Ron loves most about the DMV area are the cultural and social diversities, especially around art and architecture. “You can see leading DC Color School artists on display at The National Gallery, today, for free, and that building was designed by none other than IM Pei. Of course, there are many similar examples here in DC.”

Ron is excited that the interest in good modern design is growing, and recommends visiting MoMA’s “Value of Good Design” exhibit if you have time. This year he is going to represent a selection of inspirational homes with significant provenance. These opportunities will further promote the area’s leading architects, while providing a relatively rare chance for his niche clients to purchase some of the region’s most coveted, authentic modern homes. “It is an exciting time for us!”
