GENERAL POLICIES
Files may be submitted in any of these three formats. • PDF (must meet PDF/X-1a standards) single pages or spread • InDesign (type converted to outlines) package all source files • EPS (type converted to outlines) all source files embedded
• A credit card number must be on file with DHM to reserve space and will be charged if an invoice is not paid within 5 business days. • All invoices are due upon receipt. • Advertiser and advertising agency must comply with payment and credit terms. • If creative deadline is not met, the advertiser may be charged the full amount of the advertisement whether or not an advertisement runs. • No cancellations will be accepted after space reservation deadline. Contracted advertising must run within 1 year from date of signature to honor contracted rate. • DHM will not ensure that an advertisement will appear if an advertiser has not met published deadlines. • DHM is not responsible for advertisements not meeting our electronic submission requirements. • DHM will not be liable for omitted copy or merchandise incorrectly priced through error, nor will DHM be liable if goods are sold for incorrect prices. • The publisher reserves the right to revise or refuse any advertisement for publication. • Advertisers and advertising agencies will indemnify and hold harmless DHM, its offices, agents, employees, and contractors for all contents supplied to the publisher, including text, representations, illustrations of advertisements printed, and for any claims arising from the contents, including but not limited to defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. • DHM will not be liable for any damages if an advertisement fails to appear. • DHM will have no liability to the advertiser in the event the publication or distribution of the magazine is omitted for any reason. • Errors and credit requests must be reported no later than 5 business days after date of publication. • All rates are net and include standard layouts from our catalogue of templates. Page design includes one round of changes and a digital proof provided via email. Any additional changes are charged at $50/change.
Black text should be 0% Cyan, 0% Magenta, 0% Yellow and 100% Black. DO NOT use “Rich Black” 4-color black in your ad as it may result in obscured text.
SUBMITTING MAILING LISTS Please email your SOI mailing list to natalie@dhmmedia.com in an Excel or Numbers spreadsheet in the following format: Name Line 1, Name Line 2, Street Address, City, State, Zip.
SENDING YOUR FILE Please email ad files to natalie@dhmmedia.com. Files larger than 10MG may need to be uploaded to our Dropbox folder. Your sales rep will send you an email invitation from Dropbox to join a shared folder. Once you receive the email, follow the directions to create an account. Files should be set up as the “Trim” dimensions of your selected ad size with .125” bleed. Margins should be set to .25” to keep all content within the “Live” area.
