Welcome to Denver and the inaugural edition of Geo Week! Welcome exhibitors, speakers, attendees, and friends. For years the geospatial community has asked for collaboration among geospatial events to bring industry members together for a powerful combination of education, technology, and commercial exchange. In 2018 we took a giant step forward with the successful co-location of ILMF and the ASPRS Annual Conference. With the addition of MAPPS in 2019, Geo Week is the next step in the evolution toward a cohesive, vendor-neutral event for the entire geospatial community. Our goal is to deliver you a year’s worth of geospatial business in just one week and in one trip. The response to this collaboration has been overwhelmingly positive as industry partners see the value in coming together to move the industry forward. The week kicks off with the MAPPS Winter Conference, January 25-28. ILMF and ASPRS Conference Programs begin Monday January 28 and run through Wednesday, January 30. ASPRS offers additional workshops and programming on Thursday the 31st as well. The Geo Week exhibit floor opens at 1:00 PM on Monday featuring 100+ exhibitors (18 new this year) in a vendor-neutral environment of the latest geospatial technologies in-market. The university pavilion and lightening round session (new this year) offer a glimpse into the future of work being done in universities that may be in-market soon. Back by popular demand, the Lidar Leaders Awards Program (in partnership with Lidar Magazine) will recognize excellence in the field of lidar for individuals and groups. This year the awards ceremony will also include the following ASPRS awards: the Photogrammetric (Fairchild) Award, the ASPRS Life-Time Achievement Award, the ASPRS Outstanding Technical Achievement Award, and the William T. Pecora Award. Be sure to attend the announcement of the winners on Tuesday from 4:30-5:30 PM in Centennial F-H. Celebrate afterward at the favorite annual networking event: Lidar & Lager at the Wynkoop Brewery. On behalf of the teams from ILMF, ASPRS, and MAPPS who have worked tirelessly over the past year to organize Geo Week, thank you sincerely for attending and supporting this growing geospatial event. Due to liability restrictions, no one under the age of 18, including infants and toddlers, will be allowed in the exhibit hall or conference area at any time. Access to exhibits and conference areas is permitted by badge only. Badges may be obtained at the registration counter. All visitors must register and provide a form of identification. On-site registration fees vary and may be viewed at the registration counter.
