LTG LTG HEY MANTA RAYS! It’s so sad to think that the term is soon coming to a close. This is officially the last newsletter of my term :’( But fear not, because there is still one month left before DCON! Remember that the end of the term does not mean the end of service. Continue going out to your community and striving to work hard to give back! I am extremely excited for Lia Busby, the LTG Elect for the 2020-2021 term, to continue the Manta Ray dynasty and bring this division to new heights. Send her all the love because I don’t know of anyone more qualified and ready to become the Lieutenant Governor. As for now, let’s finish this year strong!

See you soon <3 03

HELLO MANTA RAYS! I still can’t believe that I am your 2020-2021 LTG Elect! I want to personally thank all of you for supporting me and making me feel so welcomed into this daunting position. I know that this upcoming term will come with many challenges, but I truly believe that together, we can reach and surpass our goals! I hope that in the upcoming year, I will be able to be more than just your LTG but someone who encourages you to build your character and become a more caring and inclusive leader to your community. For some of you, this may mean running for a new officer position, organizing your first fundraiser, or applying for DLT (applications out on March 16th ;) but whatever your next step is in Key Club, I am always here to support you!

division news news editor editor division WHAT’S POPPIN’ MANTAS! I hope you guys are all doing well! I can’t believe that the term is coming to an end so soon, it feels like it was just yesterday that I began making these newsletters. In retrospect, this past year in Key Club has been the most memorable times making new friends while giving back to our community. This is why I encourage all of you to apply for Division Leadership Team (DLT) for the next term, because my time spent as a part of DLT has truly been life changing! My passion for service, my love for Key Club and the work we do is something that I hope you all find to love as well.

GLIDING IN SERVICE,

key club club moment moment key My name is Leo Ceralde, and I am the Sergeant @ Arms at Notre Dame. I’m sure that everyone has had their moment of bliss while being in Key Club, but I never really had a “Key Club moment” until the end of my junior year. During the summer OTC, I learned more about the core values that we hold in Key Club and how to develop essential work habits, giving me a better understanding of why I joined. After the OTC, I learned how to open up more, allowing me to make more friends and to continue to make the community better. Although senior year is slowly coming to an end, I am still learning more and more about what Key Club is. I continue to love Key Club because I love the idea of serving the community, by performing street cleanups, or fundraising for PTP. As a senior and a Key Club officer, it is especially important for me to encourage the newer members to build a better community so that the next generation can do the same and show everyone our spirit!

On January 29, Key Club at Centennial High School participated in the second club rush of the school year. This allowed all students on campus to get a second chance at joining clubs of their choice. Centennial Key Club put out their own booth to talk about what Key Club is about, scholarships, community service opportunities, and the spirit we have! Club Rush 2.0 went successful for Key Club and we can’t wait to see new members in the future bring on the manta ray spirit!

On Saturday, January 18th, Region 13 held its annual conclave at Diamond Bar High School! Division 15 East’s new Lieutenant Governor Lia Busby was elected for the 2020-2021 term. JFK Key Club’s president Joan Santos recalls the day; “This being my last conclave, it was great to see all of Region 13 and the candidates for each division prepare for their speech. Seeing how much we have grown and to see the elected LTGs was yet another great experience!”
