Hey, Key clubbers!

I hope everyone is as excited as me! We only have a few days left until LEDCON and our new term! In this month's newsletter, there is more information on LEDCON including the Welcoming Activities and the House of Delegates! Make sure to check out those pages to be informed!

A lot of things were due this month such as contests and awards online submissions and the senior scholarships! I am so proud of everyone for all your hard work this month! Make sure to keep getting through this term and getting ready to celebrate everything in person at the convention! As always, communication is key! Please don't be afraid to reach out to me for whatever reason!

Dues Senior Scholarships DC

Dues are past due! It is important to get your club dues in so that you can attend LEDCON, be able to run for office, etc. If you haven't gotten your dues in yet, your club is suspended! Make sure to get dues in ASAP and contact me!

Calling all seniors! Make sure you apply for the Texas-Oklahoma Kiwanis Foundation Key Club Scholarship! Application and instructions on applying can be found on tokeyclub.com!

Trash is piling up too much in our world today and I think our ommunity should y to take a part in ducing this trash o make our home a better place.

How to participate:

Collect recyclable materials and recycle them

Donation drives (ex. old clothes, toys, furniture, etc.)

Erika's Lighthouse is a non-profit organization that advocates for good mental health, especially for teenagers. The organization also provides resources to kickstart conversations around mental health.

Schoolhouse was established by Sal Khan, the founder of Khan Academy. It is an organization that provides free online tutoring to students across the world.

UNICEF and Key Club have been partners for years. To support UNICEF's mission this year, we have a new projectStart Strong: Zambia. This project raises funds to build schools and purchase educational materials for children in Zambia.

The Thirst Project is an organization dedicated to providing fresh, clean water to people in need across the world.

GLOBAL LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATE YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES

The Global Leadership Certificate is a program to help Key Club members gain the skills they need to improve the world. Through 39 self-paced courses ranging from topics like strategic vs. tactical leadership to self-awareness, members will learn how to be change makers and will stand out as college applicants.

FUND

The Youth Opportunities Fund is a Kiwanis grant Key Clubs can apply for to help kickstart their service project. The grant ranges from $250 to $2000, and there are two application cycles: one due October 15th and one due March 1st. There are many resources to help clubs fill out the grant, such as budget templates and community needs assessments.

Key Club International has a member benefit partnership with Collegewise. This means that Collegewise supports Key Club International and offers members resources for navigating the college application process, all to your benefit. Collegewise also offers Key Club members exclusive webinars and resources, so take advantage of this partnership!
