Hello from the Lt. Governor Hello, Spartans! It is your LTG, once again! We had a Division Council Meeting on May 19. There are many feelings I have of the results, but it is in the past, and all I can do is continue planning DCMs, Division events, educate Key Clubbers about Key Club, among other stuff! I hope to increase the DCM attendees because not only are they fun, but they will have a lot of information that Key Clubbers should and need to know. As the 2018-2019 term continues, I continue to grow and improve. If we want to apply this growth to our division, we all must do our part. The club officer's part is to turn in Articles & Visuals, turn in MRFs, create service projects & fundraisers, and distribute & inform the club members what is going on at the District and Division Level. The club members also have a part and it is to participate in any club or division event. And continue getting service hours! The advisers' part is to support and advice the club officers in whatever they do, to be there for the club and the club members.

Summer is here and what does that mean? Summer assignments, no school, summer school, jobs, internships, and MORE opportunities to serve and help our community! School may be over but service NEVER stops! Now that summer is here, it is the PERFECT opportunity to not only get service hours & help the community; but raise funds for PTP, our Preferred Charities, for Fall Rally Gear, and buses! In last year's Fall Rally, most of our division was late and thus, did not participate in Round 1 of the Spirit Battles. If we would not like that to happen this year, raise funds for buses to not only get to Fall Rally early but to also leave later! So start fundraising!

What Happened A Division Council Meeting was held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Silverado High School! In this meeting IP LTG Sophia Kim presented awards to Silverado and University Preparatory. Many of the clubs in Division 38 East received awards for the 2017-2018 term. Lt. Governor Juan Navarrete will be visiting the schools, once the school year starts, to give the club their award(s), if they received one. If you would like to receive them earlier than that contact him saying you would like to meet up or go to the Division Council Meetings happening over the summer! Each month there will be a Division Council Meeting, where Key Clubbers can get together, learn about Key Club, have fun, and do some service! LTG Juan Navarrete has decided to have a service project that focuses on the Spotlight on Service Program for each DCM. It is highly suggested and encouraged for the clubs within the division to do service projects that relate to the monthly focus. For the month of June, the focus is Health & Safety. The Service Project (SP) Committee has created a monthly guide that has service project and fundraisers. The guide can be found on the CNH Cyber key under Projects.

Hello everyone! My name is Jillian Barnes and I am the President of Silverado High School's Key Club. On Tuesday, May 22nd, we had our first meeting with our NEW officers. This meeting was to help gain new members and spread information about Key Club. What I thought would have turned out to be 5 people and my officers, was extremely successful with over 60 people attending. What helped out our amazing turnout was putting up posters and presenting in classrooms. I made a PowerPoint to show at the meeting, which turned out great as well. We also had snacks for those who stayed. I am so thankful for how it turned out and to everyone who came.
