Editor's Note

editor's note What's ROARING tigers! Happy July! I hope you all are well, I felt like June passed by so fast! I'm officially a year older so I would like to say happy belated birthday to all of my June babies <3 I've been using quarantine time to catch up on new kdramas/animes (please recommend me some!) and have been listening to groups like day6 and stray kids, some of my favorite groups!! I hope you all have had something to entertain you through these months, maybe a new hobby? Anyway, enjoy this months newsletter and the service events that we've done, let's continue picking up these service hours

♥

paw-roud to serve you

what's sizzlin', tigers! Already, July? Whoopee! Are you all taking care of yourselves? Please continue to social distance and WEAR YOUR MASKS! It will always be so important that we be more considerate of our actions and others around us, especially in an overwhelming time like this. How's everyone's summer break? So far, I have been sleeping at an irregular time and taking naps throughout the day. It's boring to stay indoors, but nothing feels more peaceful than being in my comfortable bed. I miss you all so much and I hope to see you guys at this year's Region Training Conference with Region 9 and 17! Thank you to those who were able to attend this year's Key Club Training Conference. Try to utilize the remainder of this summer by getting as much service-at-home as possible! Again, please take care of yourselves and if you ever need me, I am one social app or message away! Growling for better days,

graduation graduation ceremony ceremony At the drive-by celebration, it was extremely heartwarming to see the members, Kiwanis, and many more cheering for us as their way to show their appreciation and goodbye to the seniors. Although it wasn’t traditional, it was very touching to me and many others. 15 seniors picked up their stoles along with certificates for the hard work they have put in throughout the term. It really made my day knowing the club achieved so much. - Vicke Tran, Marina, Graduating Senior PAGE 07

neighborhood neighborhood cleanup cleanup My experience doing the service event was very good. When I started to clean, I picked an area that had a lot of trash. I didn’t just pick up trash around my area but I walked around my neighborhood just to make sure there was no trash. I spent a good 2 hours trying to find trash and it felt good and accomplishing after cleaning up my neighborhood. It was a lot cleaner than before and another good thing that came out of it was that I was able to get my daily walk in. - Efren Cabrera, Seaside, Vice President

During the clean up some of my neighbors actually helped me and it really motivated me to keep going. Doing this service event makes me want to do this again because it brought my neighbors together and it was really heartwarming. Near the end, I had about two bags of trash and it felt good to throw it all away. I also had a bag with water bottles and I knew a woman who sells them so, I gave the plastic bottles to her. Overall I really had a great time and I hope we can do another event like this soon.

TO DAD LOVE E

The "To dad with love" event was held through zoom as the division came together to create father's day cards for the father figures in our lives. The event was amazing as we bonded sharing our favorite memories we had with our father figures, while listening to lofi hip hop. The event was wholesome and so much fun! - Danna Mae Perez, Seaside, President PAGEÂ 09

The service event was really fun because we got to create our own physical or digital card for a father figure/father. It was also a nice bonding experience with others within our division and was just fun in general!
