Hey BOO-tiful tigers! I hope this newsletter finds all of you well! I cannot believe September has gone by so fast. I hope that September treated you well and if not- that October will, in fact, not trick you; but treat you better (see what I did there?)! Speaking of, it's finally SpoooOOoooKy Season! Which leads me to ask, Do you like Halloween? I can say for sure that I definitely miss it! It seems like trick-or-treating will not be happening this year but at least by staying home; we will be safe away from the scary ghosts outside and the pandemic of course! I tried to bring the Halloween spirit by making this newsletter themed so, I truly hope you enjoy reading! Most importantly, I wish that you and your surroundings all stay safe and healthy until we meet again and beyond! <3

Happy October! Can you believe that we can officially transition into spooky season? It's unfortunate that Halloween falls on a Saturday, but we're in a raging pandemic... We're already nearing the second quarter of the term, meaning there's only two more terms left to make the most out of your Key Club experience! Class of 2021, the consideration to want to toss all the hard work we've done these past four years is high... You're doing well, even if it's the bare minimum. Just know that I am very very PAW-ROUD of you! Additionally, please make sure to pay your dues! One of our division goals is to have all seven clubs be dues-paid! This year is tough, but we're still pushing through!
Roaring for better days,
Caitlenn Frofunga

Kayla Salazar, San Benito Why did you join key club? "I joined Key Club at first because my best friends were joining and I thought it would be a great way to volunteer with them! "
When was your key club moment? "My Key Club moment was when I was in the Key Club float for San Benito at the Homecoming Parade, and I felt so connected to the club! It was this glowing, amazing moment of knowing this club is where I belong!"
What is one thing you love about key club? "One thing I love about Key Club is making connections with so many incredible people and that we connect through helping others!"
"I'm a freshman so I'm pretty new to everything but my experience at Keyclub and RTC is super great and I enjoy it so much. At first I was really nervous but I just went for it and was welcomed very warmly. Everyone is super friendly and nice and the community is great. I've met a lot of new people since joining and I'm glad I joined." - Mary Kight (Mars)

Neighborhood Cleanup
"I really enjoyed the neighborhood cleanup for an opportunity to get myself some fresh air while also helping out the planet." - Angela Tan
Painting Rocks for Neighbors "I really enjoy Key Club and painting the rock was a relaxing art project. Giving it to my neighbor made the activity even more rewarding and pushed me to step out of my comfort zone. Seeing how giving them the rock made them so happy made my day." - Jordan Royal
“At Bake a Smile I baked snickerdoodle cookies to give to my mothers co-workers. The service project was to spread positivity during these tough times through delicious cookies! I really enjoyed this event because baking is one of my favorite hobbies and it was fun that I got to bake with other people, but virtually of course. To give back to others (that) I know work so hard, truly made me feel like I was baking a difference! - Morgan Fu, San Benito
“Paint the Town service project was a fun and relaxing experience. This service project was to paint rocks that we found either in our backyard or front yard and write a positive message on it. Then we would put it somewhere in our community. I was able to paint 4 rocks and I am going to have my mom take them to put them in the office to brighten up a staff members day. - Nicole Alcalan, San Benito
