letter from Hello Corgis! With finals finally over I hope that all of you are able to catch a well deserved break. Remember to do things you love and spend time with the people you care about! Wishing you all hope and joy this holiday season! As per usual, feel free to reach out to me for Key Club or if you just need someone to listen. Although 2020 has truly thrown us a curveball, I hope that 2021 can be better for all of you. With the new year coming up, consider creating new goals whether it be towards Key Club or other things in your life. Whether it be becoming an officer next year or reaching a certain amount of funds for your club, I hope that you can all achieve your goals. It is crazy that we have already gotten HALFWAY through the school year. Stay tuned for Conclave where we will see our new LTG ELECT!! All of the opportunities you guys have given me have been insanely amazing, thank you to all of you guys for everything that you do, and for just being you. I am wishing you all joy, success, and an enjoyable as we enter together into this new year. PAWSING FOR SERVICE,

shanelle relucio

letter from Happy January Corgis! I am beyond thrilled that we have made it this far through thick and thin! I know that times have been hard for everyone right now, and I truly hope that you are all pulling through as we begin the first month of the new year. Typically, a new year means a fresh start, and I think that’s something that we could all use right now. So much has happened in the span of one year, and many of us lost so many things to 2020: time with loved ones, traveling, socializing, the list could go on for miles. While I don’t think we should use the new year as a way to forget all of these hardships, I do think that it should be a symbol to all of us to get back up and keep pushing no matter how hard things get. We’ve lived through 2020, we can handle this! I would also like to stress that while many of you may be returning to school through hybrid, the pandemic isn’t over yet! In fact, cases are on the rise more than ever, and I advise all of you to be even more cautious than you were 10 months ago. I know we’re all tired of this, but it’ll pay off in the end, trust me! Stay safe, corgis.

PAWSING FOR SERVICE,

jasmine le

The December DCM was held on Wednesday, December 9th! Our division was joined by both Andrea Lee, a Circle K member from Fresno State, and Mr. Waayers, a Kiwanis advisor who spoke about the Kiwanis Miracle Mile. Those who received monthly recognition for their dedication to Key Club were announced. Afterward, we had an ugly sweater competition which was won by Alex Jenkins, our Division Fundraising Coordinator and Clovis North’s president! The night was finished off with a service project called “Letters to Santa,” a program that Macy’s offers where one can send a letter to Santa, and for each letter sent, they will donate $1 to the Make a Wish Foundation.

Candidate Training Conference was held on December 12th for members to learn more about running for Lieutenant Governor. The LTGs from our division and our neighboring divisions each presented about different aspects of running to become an LTG, including general leadership skills and LTG duties. Later, members were put into breakout rooms to individually practice answering caucus questions in preparation for conclave in January. Each candidate was able to receive feedback on their answers in order to improve and be steered in the right direction for when the real caucus happens.
