LETTER FROM YOUR LTG SNOW!

THERE WAS SNOW!

I hope you all enjoyed the two snow days this past week! I know I say this every single newsletter, but wow . . . The School year is going by so fast. It literally feels like just yesterday that I was stressing over my first DCM. I am so proud of how far you’ve all come during this Key Club year. We have all become one big family that serves our homes, schools, and communities. It warms my heart to see all the great things you all have to offer. Keep up the hard work you guys! In other news, the official divisional T-shirt design has been decided! After counting up everyone’s votes, the official t-shirt for 65 East is *drum roll please* … can be found on page __ ! You can start ordering shirts when we get back from winter break. Remember, if you plan on attending DCON, you MUST have a divisional shirt! This shirt will be worn with our spirit gear. Adding onto Divisional attire, we will also have crewnecks for sale very soon! At the December PCM, the club presidents will choose on the official crewneck design. Order forms for crewnecks will be done online and you will be doing a CASH payment to your officers. More information about the crewnecks will be released after the December PCM. Did you donate a toy yet for Turtle Toys? The last day to donate a toy is December 19th! Be sure to bring a toy to the December DCM! All the toys will be wrapped there! You can find more information about the December DCM and Turtle Toys while reading this issue of The Turtle Monthly! In Love and Service,

Lieutenant Governor of Division 65 East Pacific Northwest District | Key Club International

DIVISIONAL BOARD JULIA DAYTON EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Hey, Turtles! I hope you are enjoying the beginning of this holiday season! This time of year is filled with so much happiness and joy, and I hope that you all take the chance to give back to your community, either through volunteering at some fun events (such as the Festival of Trees or the Holiday Half and 5K), or by donating to the Toy Drive for KCCP. The toy drive runs until December 19th, so make sure to bring in some new toys to your home club! I had a such a great time seeing you guys at the November DCM, and I hope that I get to see even more turtle attending the December DCM on the 19th, where we will be wrapping the toys donated to Turtle Toys. Happy holidays, Turtles, and I hope you have a great winter break!

ROSIE NGUYEN FUNDRAISING CHAIR

It's December, and you know what that means- CHRISTMAS IS COMING!! This season of holidays is so happy, and I'm especially looking forward to the lack of school :)) This month there are also tons of projects available, so make sure to spend some of your time o volunteering! Some fun events to be at are Festival of Trees and Festival of Lights, which really spread the holiday cheer. Plus, by volunteering at the Festival of Lights, you get FREE hot chocolate and tickets!

DIVISIONAL BOARD MARK HUYNH SPIRIT COORDINATOR

Hey Key Clubbers! No school November was great, and it won't be long till winter break and yet another new year. It's great that we're able to have family and friends to be with us along with gifts, but the children in hospitals aren't able to cherish this moment that occurs once per year. So please donate any new toys if you could! Toys mean the world to them and they only cost a couple bucks. Not only will there be a DCM this month but also LTG elections! You can bring any of the new toys to this event and give it to any of the DLT members. I also highly recommend that you go to this election rally, because not only do you witness an intense battle between candidates, but you also can learn a lot about our division by hearing their experiences in the club. It's a win-win situation so hope to see you guys there!

SANRITA UNG SPIRIT COORDINATOR

Hello turtles! This month flew by so fast! I hope you guys attended the November DCM because that was really fun getting to know each other through the things that we did. There's not much to update you guys with other than the fact that YOU SHOULD DONATE TO THE TOY DRIVE. To hype things up a bit we decided to make some challenges that go with the amount of toys you donate. Seeing the DLT die from spice is one thing but giving is such a good feeling! Anyways, I hope school is going well for you all, winter break is just right around the corner. I'll see you guys later!

KRISTEN CORPUZ HISTORIAN

Hey turtles! Tis the season to be jolly, and it's also the holidays! A great way to spread the holiday spirit is by donating toys to the Doernbecher Children's Hospital! In this month's DCM we will be gift wrapping the toys and have them sent to the hospital where the kids can open up the gifts and play with their toys that came from you! I know all of us are looking forward to winter break, hang in there and stay strong from all the tests and all the homework being thrown at you before we leave for the holidays! Have a great winter break everyone, be safe, and be sure to donate toys!

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Our divisional goal for the district project is $2,000! So far, we have raise (about) $385.26, and its only been less than a month since our district project has been announced! So lets take a look at what we’ve done this month to contribute to KCCP! $2,000

WESTVIEW

Shout out to Westview Key Club for having miracle minutes at their past couple meetings! They have raised a total of $41.36 from their miracle minutes! In addition to that, they will be doing an officer duct taping in order to raise a couple more dollars for the cause! These are great examples of small fundraisers that you could do in order to raise some money for KCCP!
