Jon is a great example of a Key Clubber that is always willing to help. Whether it is signing up for many of our weekly projects, or simply helping set up our weekly meetings, he is always there to ensure that everyone is getting the help that they need. Despite not being an officer, he really does act like one. He continuously offers rides to people to service projects if they cannot get one. He deserves to be recognized! -Noor Khan Southridge Key Club VP

Service Never Stops SENIORS Seniors, with high school coming to an end, don’t forget that serving the community does not have to end as well!
Through Key Club, you have seen the wonders that assisting the community can provide to those around you. Not only that, but the countless unforeseen memories you have made through Key Club these last four years should not be easily forgotten. As a chapter of your time comes to an end, make sure you stay connected with Key Club International and its Alumni around the country. It will help you keep up to date with Key Club, share your memories, and keep your connection with service strong during your life after high school. Visit: http://www.keyclub.org/whatsnext.aspx
CIRCLE K Although your four years of Key Club are coming to a close, that doesn’t mean your life in Kiwanis has to do the same! Service through Kiwanis continues into College with Circle K International, which has clubs in the PNW within the University of British Columbia, Oregon State University, and Washington State University! Likelihood is your school will also have a club! Circle K, much like Key Club, revolves around community service, leadership, development, and fellowship. Circle K gives you an opportunity to build upon your Key Club experiences and further your passion for service.
Its an opportunity you can’t miss. For more information contact me or visit http://www.circlek.org/home.aspx

MEET YOUR DIVISIONAL HISTORIAN Brandon Hong- Westview High School
Q: “Why did you join key club?” “I joined key club because I felt like it would be a good way to get to know other people, as well as have fun and serve the community.”
Q: “Why did you want to be Divisional Historian?” “I got inspiration mainly from Johnny Po because he was able to capture stories of people working. I wanted to share the memories so that everyone can remember together. The real reason I wanted to be historian though was that I felt like key club is more than a high school club, and that it wasn't separated by school, but we're an organization! My goal for the year is to make the schools more integrated, and not be strangers to each other. We're Division 65 (east)! And we should seem like it, and not been seen as small groups within a division. Let’s be better than the rest :)”
-Brandon Hong

Beaverton Spring Into Action‌ ....With Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities Oregon Food Bank When: Every Month Where: 1870 N.W. 173rd Ave., Beaverton, OR 97006 Every month, BHS Key Club picks a day where our group of key clubber could sign up for and package food together! This is a great way to spend a few hours helping out the community.
Highland Park MS Tutoring When: Thursdays @4pm - 6pm Where: 7000 SW Wilson Ave, Beaverton, OR 97008 Since Highland park is only five minutes away from Beaverton High. We hope to encourage more members to go back to memory lane and help assist middle school students in homework.

Blooming with compassion Southridge service spot: May 2015 Tigard community library Address: 13500 SW Hall Blvd. Beaverton, OR 97223 Times volunteered: Saturdays, 9:30 to 12:30
The library. A place of learning, a place of tranquility, and a place of service. For many of us at Southridge, it is where we are able to express ourselves as key club, to show care to our community. Even the simplest things such as shelving books bring a sense of accomplishment to those who volunteer. This is an ongoing service project proposed by past officers, and has continued since. Much of what is done is shelving books, but other jobs such as cleaning bookshelves and returning books to the shelving room to put them in order. Southridge cares about this place very dearly, and a majority of our club members have been a part of volunteering here. If you feel like helping out, don’t be afraid to ask!
May
Sunset Visits the Oregon Humane Society One of Sunset Key Club’s most popular projects is volunteering at the Oregon Humane Society. Volunteers help with animal socialization so the pets will be comfortable around people when they are adopted. We offer this project every month and volunteers are always excited to play with the animals.
