Praise the Lord and greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

I would like to let the Azusa Church know that I am overjoyed to join in the celebration and installation of Elder Quentin Moyer as Pastor of the Azusa ministry.

Pastoral Greetings

elder melvin bullock, jr. fishter of men church henderson, nc

We are reminded of the apostolic legacy and heritage that has been establish by our Lord Jesus Christ and our founder, District Elder Dr. Melvin Bullock, Sr. With this foundation, we endeavor to advance forward into the future with the vision. We bind ourselves to perpetuate the knowledge and teachings of our Lord Christ, as taught by the twelve Apostles. We pledge to evangelize to nearby communities, counties and cities inciting the spirit of revival as it was on the day of Pentecost. We pledge to acquire properties and recreational facilities to facilitate training and fellowship for the purpose of serving the body of Christ.

As we partner in ministry, it is important that we all know that we are workers together to fulfill the mission of Christ. In the spirt of partnership, together, let us continue to build on this heritage that has been left to us via Christ Jesus and our establishmentarian, Dr. Melvin Bullock Sr.

Many blessings and much love, Pastor Melvin Bullock, Jr.

Titus 1:5-6,9 “…and ordain elders in every city…the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.”

Elder Moyer, we congratulate you as you are officially installed on March 9th as shepherd over the Azusa Church of Our Lord Jesus of the Apostolic Faith, Roxboro, North Carolina. May you ever lay at the foot of the cross and hold tight the horns of the altar. Preach the good news of salvation and teach the pure doctrine of the Apostles. Lift up Jesus Christ and he will draw souls to Himself.

Mother Moyer, as your husband is officially bestowed the pastoral role, you as his one wife are elevated to the esteem position of Mother in Zion. Zion is a holy place, reflecting God’s kingdom. Therefore, you are to instruct the daughters of Zion in true holiness by precept and example, the holy place of prayer fasting and Bible study. As a mother hen protects her chicks under her wings. You are to protect, teach and love the sisters of the church. Instructing them in the divine will of God for them.

Elder, Pastor Quentin and Sister, Mother Chatima , when Jehovah called Abraham, He called Sarah; when God called Quentin, He called Chatima. You both became one when you made a covenant with God before witnesses to be husband and wife. As team players embrace each other in God’s love and grace. Love God’s people whom God has made you overseers. You are in our prayers that you will not compromise the faith, that you will live the faith and stand for faith.

Blessings to you and your children,

Deacon Alexander and Missionary Shirlene Stewart

DISTRICT ELDER WILLIE SHY, CHAIRMAN

Praise the Lord Pastor Elect Elder Quentin Moyer, I salute you today as you are being prepared to be installed as a pastor over the Lord’s church. Jesus said (Upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it). Jesus made it clear that it is his church, for it was purchased with his own blood. My prayers are with you my son as you embark upon being the servant of the Lord leading God’s people; know this my son pastoring is not a glorified position. It is a position that you can’t alway learn from in a book, because books are written by other men that share their views and concepts on pastoring. You will find the art of pastoring on your knees and listening to the voice of God. Always remember my son it was his voice that called you to preach this glorious gospel. So as the Lord spoke to Joshua, “as I was with Moses so shall I be with you.” “So be thou strong and very courageous and you shall have good success.” The Lord also warns Joshua concerning his commandments, the Lord told Joshua to do not turn to left nor to the right when it comes to his word.

I believe that the Lord is going to bless you, because you were so faithful to your pastor the late Doctor/District Elder Melvin Bullock. I pray that the favor of the Lord be upon you and your precious wife, who is also your helpmate. I regret that Lady Shy and I are not able to be there during this wonderful occasion, I want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as well as your church family that you are about to lead.

I love you my son, and if there’s anything that you need from me, please don’t hesitate to call me. Bless you now!

Yours in Christ,

Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead . I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Universal Apostolic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. AMEN.

I will never forget that Friday night,

Tribute to my Spiritual Father

When my spirit was heavy and the enemy held me tight.

Elder David Morton said, “ride with me my son;”

We ended up at Fisher of Men and that’s where my new journey had begun.

I walked in broken and my mind was in despair;

I was greeted with a smile from a woman with good hair,

Who said Praise Him wondering if the Holy Ghost was in there.

I was embraced by a tall anointed man with really good teeth,

So anointed when he laid hands I fell down on my knees.

The healing had started even when I contemplated suicide,

I knew I had found a place of healing where my heart could mend from pride.

Dr. Melvin Bullock, Sr. was his name;

He was a Father figure, a listening ear, and his conviction never changed.

To hear about the Holy Ghost in every message, to us it was not strange.

Baptism in Jesus’ name, a message he always entertained.

The thought that ‘there was no other God that can pick you and turn you around’,

And the when ‘Holy Ghost comes, it has a sound!’

The lessons he taught, the messages very clear

That would pierce your soul and make you think with fear.

“Fully Satisfied” from the beatitudes of Jesus,

“So What” and “Spiritual Intelligence” came out of one his well written thesis.

“Fighting for the Future” was his message of hope and didn’t back down,

He said it so much we started to frown.

We didn’t understand the magnitude of his Apostolic stance.

He was known for his intellect and famous fast paced dance.

The meetings he brought me unannounced and uninvited;

He said, “Moyer shut your mouth and don’t say a word;

Sit there and you better not repeat what you heard.”

I didnt understand that he was training me all along,

Showing me that I had more to do than lead a praise and worship song.

I wish you were here, my Father in the Lord; I’m learning more and more as the days go by

That the lessons you taught me would come back and bless me, just like rain in the sky.

Dr. Bullock, I will never forget you and I wont be ashamed,

Of all the love you poured in me; my life is forever changed.

So this is just a small token of recognition to publicly express your works;

How one man with a giant smile took time to nurture me, And years later send me to the Azusa Church.

Gone but Never Forgotten,

Love your Son in the Gospel Elder Quentin Moyer

Thank You!

On behalf of my family and I, we would like to thank you for celebrating this momentous occasion with us. I ask that you keep us, along with the Azusa Church, in prayer as we endeavor to do the will of the Lord.
