STUDENTS’ AFFAIRS The main objective of the Students’ Affairs Committee is to promote fellowship among Baptist students at the tertiary level. This is done through the Baptist Fraternities on the campuses and in collaboration with churches in close proximity to these tertiary institutions. Some of the activities through which the aims and objectives are realized include: Regional students’ services; Socials; Interactive sessions; and Prayer sessions

OBJECTIVES The Jamaica Baptist Union Youth Department (JBUYD) thorough its function seeks to: Inspire witness among young people; Challenge young people to an ongoing personal relationship with God as the basis for meaningful involvement in the l ife of the church; Foster better relationships and fellowship among Baptist youth and others; Support and strengthen the activities dedicated to the development of youth; Facilitate a forum for young people to express their views and discuss youth related issues; Educate young people on the history and beliefs of the JBU; and Provide a training ground for future church leaders.
PREAMBLE One of the medium through which the JBUYD operates is the National Youth Committees. There are four National Committees in the JBUYD, these are: Youth Fellowships; Students Affairs; Uniform Groups; and Young Adult Fellowships.
YOUTH FELLOWSHIPS

The Youth Fellowship Committee (YFC) comprises of a Vice Chairman and Parish Youth Association presidents. Together the members of the YFC led by the Vice Chairman seek to: Ensure that the objectives of the JBUYD are achieved and effected at the parish, zone and national levels; Establish and support youth fellowships and other youth related ministries at all levels; and Facilitate youth involvement in various fellowship, worship and training opportunities provided at various levels.
Young Adult Fellowships The Young Adult Committee of the JBUYD is comprised of the Vice Chairman, representatives from young adult groups and any other appointed person(s). The members of the committee work together to among other things: Plan and implement programmes and activities, ensuring that the objectives of the JBUYD are achieved; Foster spiritual growth and fellowship among young adults within the Jamaica Baptist Union; and Support and assist in the establishment of young adult fellowships.
