SPOTLIGHT ON A YOUTH DEPARTMENT COMMITTEE UNIFORMED GROUPS What is the Uniformed Groups Committee (UGC)?

Why Have A Uniform Group At My Church?

The UGC is the committee which oversees the activities of the uniform groups within the Jamaica Baptist Union. It seeks to be a direct link between uniform groups and their respective organizations We also seek to implement programmes for Baptist Uniform Groups that will encourage Christian values among members and pass on to them life skills as well as leadership and personal development skills.

which they can socialize and interact in a programme in which they will learn Christian principles and discipline.

What types of Groups Are there? The main type of Uniform Group that is in our Baptist Churches is the Brigaders. This is due to the fact that these uniform groups seek to instill discipline while emphasizing Christian principles. There are also Scouts, Girl Guides and Red Cross in our Baptist Churches in which leaders use innovative ways to bring across the emphasis of true Christian living.
