David Leite Viana

Post-doc. in Urban Morphology, Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning, DEA in Town Planning and Dipl. Arch. He develops professional activity in the Municipal Planning Department, Oporto Town Hall, and at the Digital Living Spaces Group, within the Information Sciences, Technology and Architecture Research Centre. He collaborates as Ph.D. supervisor in the doctorate program on Architecture for the Contemporary Metropolitan Territories and as professor in the specialization course on Collaborative Territories. He is (co)founder and scientific coordinator of the International Symposium Formal Methods in Architecture. He headed architecture and urbanism programs/departments in different schools and he was Director-Secretary of the Centre for African Studies, University of Oporto (CEAUP). He is guest (co)editor of the Special Issue Formalizing Urban Methodologies and (co)editor of the book Formal Methods in Architecture and Urbanism.
