BOARD NOTES – JUNE 2021 BRIEF FROM THE BOARD MEETING – 24 MAY 2021 Amongst a number of matters, the Board discussed the following; • The Minutes from the 10th May were adopted as a true and accurate record, the Summaries from 14th and 19th April were approved for publication. • Net Profit to the end of April stood at $499,537.41 compared to $340,922,54 at the end of April 2020 and $194,224.51 at the end of April 2019. • The 4 Clubs noted with outstanding Affiliation Fees would be disaffiliated if the fees were not paid within 7 days. • A paper would be prepared for Members around leaving a bequest to DQ. • The Durack Grounds would be rented for an endurance race type competition Obstacle Hell in September. • The Brisbane City Council Pet Fair would take place on Saturday 28th August at Whites Hill Reserve, Camp Hill. • Mr Lance Wright was added to the CJC Committee, Mrs Carolyn Pearen was appointed as the Board Events Liaison Officer to assist with events such as the API and Festive Fiesta. • The Dog of the Year Committee would be reconstituted with Patrice Johansen as Chair to look at the event in 2022. • The 2023 Show Dates would be initially reviewed by a small Board Working Party, the 2022 Dates would be released in the next available Paw Prints. • The next Board Meeting would be held on Monday 28th June 2021, there would also be a Board Training Workshop on that day from 10am to 4pm.

As a result of these trials being rescheduled, Dogs NSW and Dogs Queensland have agreed to move their national trials which were to be held in 2023 and 2025 as follows: Dogs NSW New dates: 25 to 30 June, 2024 at the same venue of Bill Spilstead Complex for Canine Affairs, 44 Luddenham Road, Orchard Hills, New South Wales. Dogs Queensland New dates: 24 to 28 June, 2026 at the same venue of Dogs Queensland Showgrounds, 247 King Avenue, Durack, Queensland.
RHODESIAN RIDGEBACK CLUB OF QUEENSLAND INC The ANKC wish to advise the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club Of Queensland National Show has been rescheduled to now take place on 5 to 7 August 2022 at the Dogs Queensland Grounds, Durack, Queensland. The Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland (RNA) has confirmed these dates will not clash with the breed judging at the 2022 Brisbane Royal Show (EKKA).
GOLDEN RETRIEVER CLUB OF NSW INC Dogs Queensland has been notified by the ANKC the Golden Retriever Club of NSW Inc via Dogs NSW National Show/Restricted Trials have been rescheduled from 2021 to now take place on 22 to 24 August 2022 at the Hawkesbury Showground, Racecourse Road, Clarendon, New South Wales.

• 66 new applications for Membership were approved, Membership stood at 5,861 plus 540 Community Members.
The ANKC wish to advise The Poodle Society of WA’s National Show for 2021 has been rescheduled to now take place on 21 to 23 October 2022 at Dogs West Grounds, Southern River, Western Australia.
