THE POODLE SOCIETY OF WA – CANCELLATION NOTICE Dogs Australia wishes to advise the National Show scheduled to be held on 21 to 23 October 2022 at Dogs West Grounds, Southern River, Western Australia has been cancelled due to continuing COVID-19 travel restrictions.

BREEDER’S TERMS CONTRACT – CHANGE TO RULES The issues of Breeder’s Terms Contract was previously highlighted in the September 2021 Dog World magazine.
As stated, this contract was discussed at the Board meeting on 30 July 2021 with the view of consulting members via a survey in the coming months for feedback.
Dogs Queensland invited members to partake in a survey to ensure the views of members was taken into account when the Board assessed the current Rules that dealt with the Breeder’s Terms Contract.
The survey was open from the 12 November 2021 to the 25 November 2021.
The link to the results of the survey can be found here. The Board looked at the results of the survey at the Board Meeting of 24 January 2022 and agreed that a change to the Rules was warranted.
It was agreed unanimously by the Board that Rule 28.1 of the CCC(Q) Ltd Rules be altered to take into consideration the results of the survey and the following section in red of Rule 28.1 be deleted with effect from 1 May 2022.
28.1 Upon the sale, exchange, gift, lease, change of domicile or other disposition of a dog, or of any interest in a dog registered in the Registers of the CCCQ Ltd, an Application for Registration of a transfer shall be lodged by the registered owner/s with the office of the CCCQ Ltd within fourteen (14) days of the change except where a dog’s domicile is changed for exhibition and/ or competition purposes or where a duly executed “Breeder’s Terms Contract” exists and a copy of such contract forwarded to the office of the CCCQ Ltd. Such application shall be accompanied by the appropriate fee as set out in the scale of charges and must be signed personally by all partners in the ownership of the dog prior to the change. The name of the transferor is not to be shown as a part owner of the dog unless the Application for Transfer is accompanied by an agreement to that effect, signed by the new owner. Only official CCCQ Ltd Partnership Agreement Forms are to be used. In the case of a Limited Register dog, an Official CCCQ Ltd Limited Register Agreement statement that the purchaser understands the effect of the Limited Register is to be provided.
FCI BREED TO BE ADDED TO THE NATIONAL BUSINESS SYSTEM: PRAGUE RATTER An application has been received for re-registration of the following FCI recognized breed:
Prague Ratter
Dogs Australia is currently arranging for this breed to be added to the business system and for their website to be updated with the relevant breed standard.
In addition, the ANKC Group listing will be updated with this breed being allocated to Group 1 (Toys) as confirmed by the National Breed Standards Coordination Group.
TRAINEE CONFORMATION JUDGES – STEWARD AND WRITING ACCREDITATION Could all trainee conformation judges that have not
completed the Stewards and Writers Accreditation course please contact the Event Managers, Steward and Writers committee to arrange completion.

AMENDMENT TO VARIETIES OF THE DACHSHUND It has been brought to the attention of the National Breed Standards Coordination Group that their website, breed group listing and regulations require amendment in relation to the varieties of the Dachshund. After consideration the Group has confirmed the following changes. Website and Breed Group Listing – to be changed to read:

Created by the FCI General Committee in 2015, this Commission serves to create activity and education for the younger generation involved in pedigree dogs and also targeting dog-loving youth outside the FCI circle, to showcase the world of the FCI and pedigree dogs and to get them involved with the activities that are on offer by the FCI, for them and their dogs.
In this interview, we get to hear their aims and visions for this extremely important FCI commission for the youth importantly led by the youth!
There has always been a fair amount of assumptions made about the largest global organisation for Pedigree Dogs, so this series of the FCI Podcast Channel titled “Inside the FCI” aims to shed light and dispel assumptions about this international organisation that stands For Pedigree Dogs Worldwide!
Comprising of ninety-eight member countries globally, the FCI is the largest global organisation for Pedigree Dogs covering almost every area of interest with dogs from conformation dog shows to dog sports and hunting trials. But to keep such a large organisation working effectively will take a mountain of people to be involved in each area of specific interest.
In the FCI, these committees or groups are known as FCI Commissions.
