Members are asked to note the following:

The ANKC will be calling for interested members to make submissions for changes to the rules of DWD and Trick Dog in 2022. Although the closing date for receipt of submissions is early in 2022, it is suggested that interested parties start developing proposed changes now.

APPENDIX 12 POLICY – GENERAL SPECIALS AT OPEN SHOWS 1. All Open Show General Specials are optional except for standalone events, eg Breed or Specialty Shows. 2. For All Breeds Open Shows held in conjunction with All Breeds Championship Shows, the following applies: 2.1 Clubs holding one Championship Show commencing before 3.00 pm must conduct General Specials. 2.2 Clubs holding more than one Championship Show and an Open Show on one day will not conduct General Specials. 2.3 Clubs holding one Championship Show commencing after 3.00 pm will not conduct General Specials. 3. Clubs should consider the following: 3.1 Commence the Open Show half an hour after the start of the Championship Show.

3.2 Automatic entry for the Open Show.

3.3 The Dogs Queensland Heat and Extreme Weather Policy applies equally to Open Shows. Any proposal to use any of the above options should be submitted with the proposed Schedule at the time of submission.

2021 NATIONAL SHOW – ROTTWEILER CLUB OF QUEENSLAND: RESCHEDULED TO 2022 The National Show which was to be held on 13 to 16 September 2021 by the Rottweiler Club of Queensland at Dogs Queensland Showgrounds, 247 King Avenue, Durack, Queensland has been rescheduled to now take place on 27 to 30 June 2022 at the same venue. This change is due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions.

SEMEN COLLECTION FEE As from Monday 13 September 2021 all registrations of non-imported semen collections will incur a $25.00 fee per collection. A three generation Semen pedigree certificate will be issued for each collection.

REGISTRATION OF LITTERS Several Dogs Queensland members are unaware the ruling on breeding their bitches has now changed and requires vet certification when over 7 years of age. RULE (iv) I shall not breed any bitch kept or owned by me aged seven (7) years or over at the time of a mating unless I have a current Veterinary Certificate stating that the bitch is in good health at the time of breeding. This Certificate must be presented at the time of registration of the litter resulting from this mating. A current Veterinary Certificate is defined as being within three (3) months prior to the mating; RULE (ii) I shall not breed from any bitch kept or owned by me causing it to whelp more than twice in eighteen (18) months; Example 1 Litter 1 – DOB 01/01/2020 Litter 2 – DOB 01/07/2020 Litter 3 – Cannot whelp a third litter until after the 01/07/21. Example 2 Litter 1 – DOB 12/12/2020 Litter 2 – DOB 15/7/2021 Litter 3 – Cannot whelp a third litter until after the 12/06/2022
