13: Policy Regarding Rule 63.1 (Judging Multiple Groups within 80km of Brisbane GPO

POLICY – GENERAL SPECIALS AT OPEN SHOWS

1. All Open Show General Specials are optional except for standalone events, eg Breed or Specialty Shows.

2. For All Breeds Open Shows held in conjunction with All Breeds Championship Shows, the following applies:

2.1 Shows commencing before 3:00pm must conduct General Specials.

2.2 Shows commencing after 3:00pm will not conduct General Specials.

3. Clubs should also consider the following options:

3.1 Reduce the number of Classes at the Open Show to four (4) or five (5). Suggested Classes would be Baby Puppy (1 & 1a), Puppy (3 & 3a), Junior (4 & 4a), Intermediate (5 & 5a) and Open (11 & 11a). This would help save time and save money on trophies but also ensure that Judges could potentially judge larger numbers of dogs in the Classes.

3.2 Commence the Open Show half (½) to one (1) hour prior to the start of the Championship Show.

3.3 The Dogs Queensland Heat and Extreme Weather Policy applies equally to Open Shows.

Any proposal to use any of the above options should be submitted with the proposed Schedule at the time of submission.
