Celebrating

your four-legged child dog birthday parties grow in popularity

Article by Michelle Arean

Bella’s birthday

Lilo’s seven birthday

Bella’s presents

For many of us, our dogs are considered members of the family, which is why it should come as no surprise that celebrating their birthdays has recently become an increasingly popular way to pay tribute to our furry, four-legged children. I, myself, have been guilty of singing Happy

Birthday to my Princess Bella and even making doggie treat bags too. Doggie birthday celebrations take on many different forms and can range from something as simple as giving your pooch a special treat to more elaborate festivities. The most popular method of celebration seems to include a day at the dog park but if you really want to spoil your birthday baby, you can enlist the services of some local pet boutiques like Lupita’s Closet near The Falls or Doggie Bag Café in Biscayne that specialize in coordinating dog parties. All it really takes for a good doggie bash, though, is some friends with dogs, doggie cake, treats, and a park for them to run around in and enjoy. Some owners order treats and dog cakes for their pups to enjoy. Healthy dog treats are available at many local doggie boutiques like Bailey’s Dog Bakery, B3Dogs, My Pets Love It and Nuni Cakes. Elisa Dietch, owner of My Pets Love It, says that she’s seen an increase in dog celebrations over the last couple of years. “I think people are really appreciating the unconditional love their dogs give them and want to celebrate that happiness. It’s also just about creating a fun day for everyone while forgetting about life’s stress for a bit”, she said.

Whether it’s coordinating a day at the park or celebrating at home with a special treat, dog birthday celebrations provide a fun outlet for all while showing your faithful, furry friend how much you love and appreciate him.” 4

Bryan T. Donovan Los Angeles independent film producer and very funny actor, Bryan T. Donovan, recalls how thrilled his beloved late Weimaraner was at the prospect of spending bountiful hours running and hiking outdoors, after Bryan was casted to star in the docu-series, Thintervention, with Jackie Warner by Bravo TV. “I was the heaviest contestant on the show and had the most weight to lose”, admitted Bryan. He came out on top of the other contestants by reaching his goal to lose 60 pounds at the 13 week long program series finale. Interview by Laura Diaz Photos by Bryan T.Donovan

DRO:

“ Moose was my first dog, and also my first Weimy .”

For the first seven weeks of filming, it was the pressure of the cameras, the stress of the competition, and tough trainer Jackie Warner’s close watch what kept him going. But during the final phase training at home, it was his Weim Moose who motivated and pushed him to meet him at the top of the mountain. No matter how hard, overcoming Jackie’s excruciating 24/7 boot 8

camps was peanuts compared to the painful experience of seeing Moose being run over and killed by a car. In spite of Moose’s recent pass, Bryan will not let the horrible tragedy discourage him and give up his personal goal to keep off the weight. This article is a tribute to Moose. His strength, determination, and inhibited love always be with Bryan.

Who was Moose?

BRYAN: Moose was my first dog and also my first Weimy. Best choice ever. We got him from a breeder in San Antonio, Texas at 8 weeks old. He was such a little bundle of pure love and loyalty from the moment we picked him up. His original name was Razmus. As he got older and larger, he took up some serious real estate in our bed. He eventually got so big and muscular that when we would try and push him to move over, it was like trying to move a giant Moose. The end of his name also sounded like Moose, RazMUS, and so it just sort of stuck. Personality-wise, Moose had a human soul that came across loud and clear through his eyes. He was the most loving and affectionate dog I’ve ever met. Always excited to see people, he was a gentle giant with kids. His eyes spoke to people and he also made the funniest noises I have ever heard.

DRO:

Why a Weim?

BRYAN: We looked at a lot of different breeds but for some reason the elegance and beauty of Weimaraners just kept drawing us back. We knew that they had a reputation for being a little

high strung and sometimes crazy but my partner’s sister had a Weimy and we knew that if trained properly and truly loved, these beautiful dogs would be an amazing friend to anyone.

DRO: Weims require lots of attention and exercise. They are also prone to suffer from separation anxiety and can remodel your living room if left alone for too long. Did Moose get into trouble often? BRYAN: I remember the one time Moose made our entire house look like wonderland. We had put a down pillow in his crate to make him feel more comfortable while we were gone… He shredded it. There were feathers EVERYWHERE. At two years old, we started leaving him outside the crate when we had to leave. He got into trouble a couple of times but eventually he earned our trust. As an adult, he loved eating toilet paper and the top part of toothbrushes. To be honest, his mischief made us laugh. He was a good boy!

DRO: What role did Moose play in your journey to lose weight? BRYAN: Moose was incredibly instru-

mental in helping me lose my weight. Because Moose never looked at hiking as a workout, I constantly relied on him to push me. He was always 50 feet ahead, looking back as if to say, “What is taking you so long, HURRY UP!”

DRO: What important lessons did Moose teach you about life? BRYAN: To live life to its fullest and try to enjoy each day. He taught me how to just let things that truly upset me to roll off my back. He taught me about unconditional love. Most importantly, the biggest life lesson he taught me and my partner was that there was something magical and special about the start of a new day. Moose was living life in its purest form and each day he would wake up and teach us that this day was a gift that we should be happy and grateful for and that there were a lot of good things out there waiting for us today. This gave us so much perspective whenever we were stressed or upset!

Bryan runs his own production company, 143 Productions, in Los Angeles. He is currently working on completing his first cookbook. He enjoys photography, cooking and volunteering at animal rescue programs.

“ Unconditional Love.”

Most importantly, the biggest life lesson he taught me and my partner was that there was something magical and special about the start of a new day.”

Healthy ears for happy dogs! Article by Nancy Wilber, DVM

Ears; don’t we all love our pets ears?! Short of a dogs tail, no other body part tells us more about how our pets are feeling. Long, short, furry or floppy they are all unique.

Kingston

But when a dog has an ear infection those ears can become a source of pain and discomfort for both you and your pet.

The ears may get warm to the touch and you may see hair loss, scabbing and discharge from the canal.

You may first just notice a different smell around

their face.

As the problem gets worse they will shake their head, rub their face on the floor, or scratch tirelessly.

Ears are meant to be a self cleaning system.

When something disrupts this the yeast and/or bacteria that are normally present in small numbers overpopulate creating inflammation, debris and odor. Many dogs have hair that grows in their ear canals. This is actually meant to help protect the ears but can add to problems if an infection does occur. Excess moisture from swimming or bathing, inflammation from allergies, and overproduction of cerumen or wax can also contribute to infections. Ear mites can also be responsible for ear infections. They are microscopic parasites that make their home in the ear canal. They are contagious. Direct contact with another infected animal or contaminated bedding or other inanimate objects is necessary for a dog to get infected. Dogs have very long ear canals that first run vertically then horizontally in to the ear drum. When cleaning the ears it is important not to force material down the canal or to traumatize the ear canal. The safest technique is to apply the cleansing solution directly into the ear canal, massage the base of the ear then let your dog shake out the excess cleanser. Curing an ear infection of any kind requires a combination of cleaning and medicating with the right products. Each pair of ears not only looks different on the outside but on the inside as well. Some dogs need to have their ears cleaned or even plucked regularly and some do not. There are many ear cleansers available but they may not all be suited to your pets particular condition. An external ear infection can progress to a middle or even inner ear infection if not treated properly. This can be an emergency affecting your pets balance and ability to eat, drink and walk. A ruptured ear drum can make normal ear medications dangerous. See your veterinarian before starting any type of cleansing program to be sure it will do no harm, and to see what cleansers and/or prescriptions are best for your dog.

Amelia Vega, Mimi & Tiny Interview by Sylvia Gonzalez Duprat Photographed by Donna Victor donnavictor.com

MIMI, 6 years old Silky Terrier and TINY, 3 years old Yorkshire Terrier.

Singer Amelia Vega was introduced to the world in 2003 when she took the coveted title of Miss Universe. Her beauty was only the trampoline to her goals. She travelled the world promoting her cause HIV/AIDS prevention and supporting institutions such as the Global Health Council and amfAR; and she currently contributes to “Go Red for Women” awareness for early detection of breast cancer in women and is active in global and environmental charities and awareness. During these years Amelia lived and shared experiences that today come together in one result that kept Amelia’s mind busy since she was a little girl: Music. In 2011 Amelia will release her first Album “Agua Dulce” as a climax of her career and passions in life. Q. Tell us about your passion for dogs. What is the story behind your first puppy? A. My passion for dogs came from my father. He bought me my first dog when I was in my mother’s belly. She was a beautiful, black German shepherd named Zucca. I have childhood memories of her. My father has always been a dog lover. I remember that in his house he once had up to fifteen dogs at one time. For me it was the best to go play at his house and share with all of them. After Zucca I had two beautiful Chihuahuas named Bengie and Wennie.

Q. What is the story of Mimi, your 6-year-old silky terrier, and Tiny, your 3-year-old Yorkshire terrier? A. Mimi came into my life like a gift in 14

age to be with Mimi and Tiny?

one wonderful moment. It was a new stage in my life. I was already living alone for the first time. I didn’t have any dogs and my father and his wife gave her to me for my birthday. That was when I seriously discovered the value of a dog’s company and the knowledge that it was me and her, that this little thing was totally dependent on me. Tiny came four years later like another gift. She is totally different from Mimi. She is more attached to me. She always follows me wherever I go, it is really funny. The truth is that each one is a world apart in personality; all they lack is the ability to speak.

A. I’m always going crazy because I take them wherever I go. Always having to get the paperwork in order for them to travel with me is difficult and in the end, the airports are uncomfortable. But for me it is rewarding to have them with me, to know that they are not missing me and to not be worried about whether they ate well and if they are well taken care of. They love to travel. When they see me preparing my bags, they go into them, ha ha ha, like saying “don’t leave us”. Always having them with me on so many trips is like having a piece of home with me.

Q. With such a busy career that involves traveling around many different countries, how do you man-

Q. In South Florida, there are strong campaigns to promote adoption. How is the dog adoption culture in

{ cover story } your home country: Dominican Republic? A. The truth is that it is not very strong. It is necessary to start raising awareness. It is very important to take care of the homeless dogs. It breaks the heart to know that so many dogs and cats lose their lives because of breeders who are unaware of the reality.

Q. Dogs give us unconditional love and endless hours of happiness. Do you think dogs are here on earth to help us have a joyful life? A. Totally, they are like angels who give us company, tenderness and unconditional love. They live for us and can even sense our feelings. It’s incredible that if they see me crying, they are the first to be with me and even wipe away tears.

Q. We saw one of your dogs in you latest video (maybe Tiny) “Pasa un Segundito”!! She is quite an artist too! Was there any special story or a funny part while filming the video? A. Ha ha ha, yes, Tiny is already a star. The truth is that the plan was for both dogs to come out but because of time constraints, we had to cut the scene that Mimi was in. So I felt a little bad because of that but shhh, Mimi doesn’t know (laughing out loud). It was funny to see that despite all of the crew, there she was really acting for her scene. She is a total professional.

The record will speak for all my emotions, the pride I carry of where I come from and what I am. I’m sharing something that has always been in me, with the hope that music fans will receive it with the same affection that I embraced it with.”

Q. What are your Music plans for this year (2011)? We would love to see more Amelia. Are there any surprises to come? A. This end of the year is a very important moment because we are defining everything that will happen in 2011. If God is willing, I will soon announce the release of the complete album through ameliavega.net I always keep all of the fans informed on Twitter and Facebook so I will see you there soon to tell you what happens. In the meantime I hope that you will like “pasa un segundito”, which is the first single of the album that I made with lots of love and dedication for all of those who wish to have and enjoy good times.

Mimi came into my life like a gift in one wonderful moment. It was a new stage in my life... That was when I seriously discovered the value of a dog’s company and the knowledge that it was me and her, that this little thing was totally dependent on me.”

Agua Dulce is Amelia’s debut album’s title for which the model and actress has dedicated her full time efforts for the last year and a half. The album was recorded between the Dominican Republic and Miami. “This album is about my connecting with my emotions and where I am from, my roots and who I am.” On behalf of DogsAreOk we thank you for this opportunity and we are looking forward to see you hosting the American Cancer Society’s Annual 2011 Gala in April. We will follow you in facebook and twitter and your website ameliavega.net while promoting your upcoming album “Agua Dulce”. Thank to Mimi and Tiny too, they are two wonderful and beautiful pooches. Yorkshire Terrier Better known as Yorkies

Nose

Yorkies suffer from a pharyngeal gag reflex meaning that air goes rapidly up their nose like a reverse sneeze, which makes them snore like a goose.

Personality

Yorkies are a big dog in a little body. They are independent, brave, determined, intelligent little lapdogs that are adaptable and portable.

Body

Yorkies average height is 9 inches to the shoulder and they weight 5 to 7 pounds.

History

Their long, silky, flowing and dander free coat can be black, blue and/or tan in color. Regular grooming is important. Yorkies are hypoallergenic because they have human-like hair.

Yorkies ancestors are the Skye Terrier and Airedale Terrier from Scotland which were brought to Northern England by miners and weavers. Yorkies were bred during the 19th century by the working class to chase rodents, especially rats, in mills and factories. Then they became pets to the European high society. Yorkshire Terriers were first seen in the U.S. during the late 1800’s.

Named after the city where they were bred, Yorkshire, these lapdogs are the second most popular breed in the world. In the AKC, they are in the toy group but they are Terriers.

Training

Yorkies are very keen on their owners so training is easy. They learn quickly because they love to work and are very intelligent.

Health

Coat

© Istock photo by Konstantin Gushcha

Breed

Yorkies have fragile bones and are prone to tooth decay and gum diseases.

Family

They are good pets for adults and need daily interaction. Not recommended for kids because they tend to snap.

Pit bull myths and facts Article by Leigh Markowitz

Coco had never hurt anyone. He was a family pet who had nothing going against him but the pure bad luck of being born a Pit Bull.

Pit Bull Kissing Booth

I have had experience volunteering with Pit Bulls and they are one of the most beautiful breeds of dog who, when treated with kindness and not cruelty, only wish to please. Coco had never hurt anyone. He was a family pet who had nothing going against him but the misfortune of being born a Pit Bull. He was taken away from his back yard by animal control on the basis of Colorado BSL ordinances and was eventually put down. According to the documentary, Beyond the Myth, during the two months of Coco’s imprisonment, his family fought for his freedom but could not free their “son.” After he was euthanized, Coco’s family picked up his remains in a black trash bag and transferred them to an urn kept on their front desk. “Pit Bull” is a slang term for a breed of dog with similar characteristics to breeds like the American Staffordshire terrier, the American Pitt Bull terrier, and the Staffordshire Bull terrier. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Breed Specific Legislation, or BSL, is the term for laws that regulate or ban certain breeds of dogs in the hopes of reducing dog attacks. Pit Bulls are the primary breed attacked by BSL. One grass roots organization in Miami-Dade County that is key in the fight against BSL is The Miami Coalition Against Breed Specific Legislation (MCABSL). This group is working hard to dispel the myths associated with the Pit Bull in 18

order to spread the truth about this lovable breed of dog. Edel Miedes, dog trainer and Director of MCABSL, explained that there are aggressive dogs, but targeting an entire breed is not the solution to protecting the community from aggressive and dangerous dogs. According to Lisa Scherre, head of Pet Rescue and Adoption Center Inc., Pit Bulls are the most misunderstood breed of dog due to the myths and prejudices associated with them. One such myth is that Pit Bulls can’t be around kids. In truth, they are are dependable, goodnatured and loyal companions who, according to Miedes, were “considered the nanny dog for many years because parents would leave their kids with them”. Another common myth is that Pit Bulls have a locking jaw. According to Miedes, this is false because the Pit Bull’s jaw is anatomically the same as that of other breeds. A Pit Bull bites with 7-900 pounds per square inch of pressure, while a German Shepherd bites with 8- 1100 pounds per square inch of pressure, and a Presa Canario and Fila Brasileiro bite with 141700 pounds per square inch of pressure. Neither the Shepherd, Presa nor Fila are banned from Miami-Dade County.

It may come as a reality check to most that from 1965 until 2001 Pit Bulls have only been blamed for 2.48 human fatalities per year; a number which, according to the MCABSL, is less than almost every other breed of dog. MCABSL states that most bite incidents involving breeds other than Pit Bulls are never even reported. “The media intensifies the hatred of the [pit bull] breed,” Miedes said. “Reporters have told us point blank that if the story does not involve a Pit Bull, then they’re not supposed to air it.” Organizations like MCABSL are using positive media to counteract the negative publicity toward the “Pit” breed. The media director for the MCABSL, Stephanie Sarkissian, is working on a documentary that she said will “showcase the brighter side of bully breeds.” And there is a brighter side to these misunderstood creatures. I have had experience volunteering with Pit Bulls and they are one of the most beautiful breeds of dog who, when treated with kindness and not cruelty, only wish to please. If people took the time to learn about Pit Bulls instead of stereotyping the breed for what the media broadcasts, then innocent dogs would stop losing their lives and innocent families would stop losing their “children.”

Why Do Dogs Dig? Article by Richard Heinz, the Miami Dog Whisperer

All behaviors that your dog manifests are either learned or they come from instinct. Digging is an instinctual behavior all dogs have. Some have it stronger than others, such as breeds that are bred to dig out game like terriers and dachshunds. Some dogs dig all the time while others rarely display this behavior. REASONS:

POSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

1. Your dog may be bored. He may be there for extended periods of time and dig just to have something to do.

1. Provide plenty of entertainment

2. Your dog may want to escape. They may be curious about what lives outside of their fence and they may smell something (i.e. A mate or food) that is enticing them to go explore outside the boundaries. Don’t feel bad if this is your case; dogs are generally not trying to get away from their owners or home and they don’t understand that they may get hurt or lost if they leave the safety of the boundaries. Remember, they go by instinct!

outdoors in the form of chew toys, balls, sticks and anything else your dog likes so they don’t resort to digging to keep themselves busy.

2. Spend time outside with your dog every day and if you catch them doing the behavior, make sure you firmly say “No” and give them something else to play with. 3. Provide plenty of water and a shaded, cool place for your dog to relax outdoors so they are not digging to get away from the heat.

3. Your dog may be trying to find a cooler patch of dirt. Deeper layers of soil will tend to be cooler than the top ones; therefore your dog may be overheated and may need a cooler place to lie.

4. Some dogs will dig to make a nest, especially female dogs. Whether pregnant or not, they may dig to make a nest for future puppies.

5. Dogs like to save things like toys, balls, bones and treats for a “rainy day”.

6. Some fertilizers that are used to help your garden grow are made with bone or blood meal so your dog may dig and dig to find that nonexistent bone or treat because the smell is so irresistible to them.

Bang Bang Lulu drinking water

4. Find a good, safe spot for your dog to dig. Teach them to go there and praise them with treats when they dig there. A sandy area is usually ideal and dogs love to dig there, leaving your garden and yard intact. Although deeply ingrained, digging can be unlearned. Be consistent and unwavering and you will be able to find a solution that will break your pooch of this unwanted behavior.

Raja & Chloe’s

Dream Valentine’s get away to Vail, Colorado Story and images by Helen Asquine Fazio

When Raja invited Chloe to a dream get away for Valentine’s Day, he had to think of something really special! With Chloe’s busy competition schedule, there was no time to fly to Paris. World Traveler Raja decided that the athletic and adventuresome Chloe would love a trip to Vail, Colorado for some late winter skiing!

Chloe’s Bio:

Chloe the Maltipoo is an agility star, competing in Canine Performance Events and Teacup Dogs Agility Association Events. Owned and trained by agility entrepreneur Lisa Schwellinger, Chloe’s many distinctions include Teacup Superior Agile Dog and Teacup Master Agility Games Dog. Raja and Chloe enjoying the gondola ride

A direct flight from Miami International to Eagle Airport was perfect. Raja and Chloe always fly

in cabin. (Because Eagle Airport is so high, in cabin flight is much safer. Dogs who must fly in cargo must make sure the carrier has a heated and pressurized cargo hold.) You would think that only the really crazy leave the Sun Belt in winter, but, as long time residents of Miami, Chloe and Raja needed a change of pace. Chloe gasped when she saw the condo. In Vail, so many luxurious, pet friendly condos are located slope side. Ski in and ski out made for easy exits and returns and the pair could see the gondolas and returning skiers right from their balcony. With only a few more hours of daylight left, Raja insisted they go out in the snow, even though the sun was setting. Both of them scampered to the Eagle Bahn Gondola. (Raja had gotten lift tickets in advance through the concierge, so there was no waiting.) How exciting to be lifting off again toward the snowy peaks! Chloe yipped, “Hold my paw!” as the gondola swung off the platform, but soon she was peeking outside the window at the tiny pine trees below. Romping down the whole of the north face of Vail Mountain with the sunset behind was breathtaking, especially when only eight hours ago they were waving good bye to the palm trees outside the airplane window! They celebrated their first day après ski with a mug of mountain water and two plates of chicken fingers on the deck of Garfinkels Pub right at the

base of the mountain. Later that evening, they trotted into Vail Village to leave pawprints in the snowy streets while they window shopped in this premier resort town. Not only are there numerous upscale name brand boutiques, but especially Vail Village offers the best in snow sport apparel. Raja and Chloe enjoyed browsing the numerous art galleries featuring works in stone and wood by Colorado artists. Chloe shopped the boutiques and found an adorable, folkloric hand-knit hat. “Pose for a picture!” barked Raja. The next day, the adventuresome pair again took the Eagle Bahn to the back bowls. First they took an easy coast around the bowls on Lost Boy Trail and then, feeling they had their paws limber, they dropped down into the black

diamond runs, thrashing about in the new powder. The snow glinted like crystals and the famous Colorado “big sky” was clear and blue. Returning, Raja and Chloe took a leisurely stroll down Born Free run, ending up in Lionshead where they had their Valentine’s Day dinner in the famous Bart and Yeti’s on Lionshead Circle. Bart and Yeti’s is the only completely pet friendly restaurant at the Vail Resort. The food is rustic, but tasty, and they always add a little extra to the doggie bags. Later, Raja and Chloe lingered on the condo balcony, thinking that tomorrow the snowy slopes would be replaced by the sandy beaches of their beloved Miami in only a few short hours.

{ DogsAreOk@ } DOG GRINCH CHAPTER 2 © Istock photo Paola Canzonetta

SLIP SLIDING AWAY! Dreadful dog owners beware of the Dog Grinch! Here is the story of my newest and most tragic case, about how a little SLIP created a lot of Sliding AWAY! He was running to stop her at the altar when the slip occurred. John was 24 and Gwen was 25 but she was about to marry another guy. John and Gwen had dated a few years back and he was in love with the girl that had it all: beauty, brains, and a good heart… She wasn’t so sure about John, although he was her best friend and they had chemistry to boot, he just didn’t seem like marriage material: he loved to party and didn’t have a life plan. She needed someone that could captain a ship, not mix margaritas. The slip was seemingly innocent; John lived in a block where each house had a patch of grass in front. There were many dogs in the neighborhood, and mostly everybody walked their dog with a bag to clean up afterwards, except a few bad apples that felt they were above respecting others. John was the lucky winner of the dog poop lottery that afternoon. He never saw it as he was running to his car on the curb, and the speed combined with the poop and the water left from an earlier sprinkler run, made for a spectacular almost movie-like slip, swoosh into the air and bam down with his full body! His light grey suit had intermingled patches of grass, dirt, and poop and he also had a small red stain on his collar, as his forehead got a piece of the cement, and was bleeding down his right temple. He cursed his luck but determined to stop the wedding; he got in the car and drove off to the church. He began speeding and even with the windows down; he could still smell the stench coming from the dog poop. He turned a little too fast unto the street where the church was located and made the tires screech, and caught the attention of a cop who immediately began pursuit… John didn’t hear the sirens or see the lights because the corner of his eye caught Gwen in a beautiful white dress coming out of a limo with her bridesmaids. His heart was racing, and he just gunned his car straight in her direction, hit the brakes with a huge screech which made Gwen turn just in time

to see her ex-boyfriend’s car grind to a halt almost hitting the limo, and in the blaring of sirens and police lights, she saw her ex-boyfriend, pale, bleeding from his head, and in a filthy suit come out like a maniac from the car and start running towards her, only to get tackled from behind by a policeman, who took him down hard and handcuffed him with precision while he read him his rights… Gwen, surrounded by stupefied bridesmaids walked towards John. As she approached, he just blurted out: “please don’t get married, I love you” and she just smiled, she crouched down, and gently caressed his face: “John, this is exactly the opposite of what I want, romantic stormy last minute moves are great for TV, but look at you… Would you want someone like you as the father of your kids? I am sorry John… Take care of yourself OK?” and she turned around and followed by all her bridesmaids, went into the church… Fifteen years later, they bumped into each other again at the second marriage of one of their college friends… Gwen was a successful entrepreneur and had a small chain of spas; she had two kids, and had divorced a few years back. He had become captain of a ship, and was managing all U.S. operations and logistics for a large multinational, but he never married, and never got over her… The spark was still there: they talked, drank, and danced all night, and at the end of the night she confessed: “I divorced him because I guess a girl does need the romance after all, he is a great father but I needed more”. She laughed and added: “I really loved you back then, and sometimes wish you had shown up at the church like a normal, believable person, but what was up with Mr. Maniac?”. He just laughed, as he knew that everything was going to be OK now, but that a pile of Dog poop had cost him fifteen years with the woman he loved.

Please don’t make me hate your dog, bag and dispose. Always!
