Preparations preparations for your wedding is a detailed process; let our dedicated wedding co-ordinator take you through every step and help alleviate any worry out of the planning process. You can expect us to help you with your wedding menu, created by our award winning chefs, plus any other dining and beverage requirements, such as breakfast or snacks to accommodation for you and your wedding party. When you meet with us we are happy to discuss all aspects of the arrangements from: advice on flowers, transport, entertainment, table decorations and place cards, the running order and a professional toast master if required.

A Taste of Romance
say your vows overlooking the picturesque village of St Aubin with its quaint harbour and romantic sea views towards Elizabeth Castle. The Garden Suite is licensed for wedding ceremonies and can be set up to seat up to 44 guests for a sit down meal, we can accommodate more guests on a standing basis. Tides restaurant seats 55 as well as the Harbour room. Combine these 2 rooms for a seating total of 110 for a sit down meal. All in all, the space can seat 154 guests. This is a perfect setting for your family and friends to witness your vows.

After the ceremony the wedding party will be escorted to one of our function rooms or garden terrace for celebratory drinks and an opportunity for photos around the stunning grounds.
Tides is an award winning restaurant which can accommodate 55 guests, more room is available by extending the seating into the Harbour room. Both rooms have vistas over St Aubin’s bay.
Even if you choose not to have your ceremony at the hotel we can greet you on arrival from the church and prepare a drinks reception.

A Delicious Meal... we have a number of function menus which include starters like oak smoked salmon with Jersey crab mayonnaise; main courses include delicious roasted chicken breast or fillet of beef and red wine jus and desserts such as lemon tart or Espresso brulee. We think we have a selection to suit everyone, however, do let us know if you have any special requirements. We are happy to help you assemble your own menu with dishes of your choice all especially created by our chefs in the award winning Tides Restaurant.
Fine Wines & Toasts‌ we also have drinks packages to accompany the celebrations. These easy packages include wines and Champagne for the toast. Raise a glass to the special couple! Our selection of fine wines are sourced from around the world and make a perfect accompaniment to your meal. No celebration would be complete without a glass of bubbles; we have a range of fine Champagnes and a choice of sparkling wines available. Tell us about any special dietary requirements and ask us if you would like a children’s menu.

Evening buffet Keep your guests satisfied with our evening buffet especially prepared for your special day. We make sure no one goes hungry with a choice of freshly prepared finger sandwiches, quiches and selection of meat and fish dishes. During the planning stages we will help you choose what you would like to serve.

Bedroom Escape guests have the choice of inland or sea view rooms to choose from. The Superior Rooms can be set up as either a super king or twin beds. These rooms have a seating area and are larger than our Classic Rooms We offer a complimentary overnight stay for the wedding couple. Our three exclusive Superior Garden Sea View rooms are the largest and most luxurious available at the hotel: they are nestled in the hotel gardens offering privacy and extensive, stunning views over St Aubin’s bay. Spend the night in one of our elegant rooms and wake up to a full breakfast overlooking the harbour. We also offer special rates to family and friends.

Fine Details when getting married at the hotel it’s essential you book a registrar and ensure a date is available. You will need to obtain a wedding license from the Office of the Superintendent Registrar, who will provide information on all the documentation needed together with details of fees and charges.
Partnerships here at the somerville hotel, we are approved premises for civil partnership ceremonies. Civil partnership ceremonies will be conducted by the Superintendent Registrar, her deputy or her delegate. For more information about getting married in Jersey visit gov.je
Frequently asked Questions ... is there enough parking available?
can our guests use the pool?
We do our best to find spaces for guests by double or triple parking however, if guests can share cars or use a taxi it would help.
Unfortunately this is only reserved for hotel residents’ use.
do guests get a discount if they stay here? Yes, we give 10% off the rate at the time of booking. is there a room hire charge? No we only charge the number of guests multiplied by the menu and drinks package price. is service charge included? No this is at your discretion.
can buses or coaches come into the car park? Unfortunately, full size coaches can’t get around the corner in the road. However 3/4 length coaches from Signature coaches and mini buses from Tantivy can. can we reserve the garden area around the pool for our drinks? The terrace may be reserved for a short period of time for your guests to have their arrival drinks, however the area around the pool is for residents’ only. do you offer toast mastering facilities?
do you allow us to bring in our own wine and champagne and charge corkage?
Yes the duty manager is happy to announce in the bride and groom and anybody making a speech.
No we don't allow this; we do have an extensive wine list for you to choose from and we will always try to supply the wine of your choice should it not appear on our wine list.
do you type up place cards and table plans
do you arrange discos? In keeping with the expectations of our guests staying at a Country House Hotel we do not offer evening event facilities for discos or bands.

Yes we are happy to do this and we can also place the meal pre order on the back of the place cards as a reminder to guests. If this information could be provided at least 10 days prior to the event it would be helpful.
