here are so many delicious creations to choose from at Tides Restaurant. Seafood fans are well satisfied with the selection of fish dishes, like Jersey plaice with broad beans and of course, crustaceans galore, like fresh lobster and crab plus local mussels and oysters. In the summer months the restaurant pays homage to the lobster with an entire menu dedicated to this most succulent and decadent of shellfish. For a meat extravaganza, try the perfectly cooked steak, sourced from Irish and British farms, guaranteed to leave you satisfied. Another favourite is the sticky belly pork, Asian greens, crispy tiger prawns, ceviche with soy. The hardest part of your meal will be choosing! Ask our sommelier about the perfect wine to compliment your food; the staff are happy to help with any of your dietary requests. A long lazy afternoon over delicate finger sandwiches and freshly baked scones lavished with Jersey cream, overlooking boats tinkering in the harbour … that’s why so many love to indulge in our celebrated afternoon tea. Easy going d i n i n g he Terrace Grill is a little known gem, renowned for its tranquillity, good food and beautiful views. It is so close to St Helier but so far away from the hustle and bustle of town. Escape into gourmet food and good times with friends and family. All beefsteaks are 21 day aged Irish beef from grass fed cows bred in the Slaney valley and cooked to your liking, although the chef will recommend rare! Be satisfied with our 10 oz Flat Iron or 8oz Sirloin, served with roasted cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, onion rings and fat chips. During the summer, we fire up the coals for a relaxed Sunday BBQ lunch on the terrace, a perfect place to spend a lazy day. For dessert dip into a decadent chocolate fondant with sweet swirls of zingy raspberry, or get unstuck in a sticky toffee pudding – this is food to remember! Retire to our cosy bar area where you can beat your best friend at chess or Scrabble and perhaps sip a single malt whisky or an after dinner liqueur. Fresh catch
nothing says summer like a fresh succulent Jersey lobster. Make your way down to the harbour early one morning and you’ll see our suppliers from Battricks bringing in their bounty. By lunchtime the seafood is on the plate, in a variety of creative ways, with each chef putting their own twist on the catch of the day. Enjoy a half Jersey lobster and Jersey crab salad with avocado, marinated tomato and artichokes, cocktail sauce and Jersey royals or the seared fillet of Jersey sea bass, pesto linguine, crab croquette, gambas, asparagus, sun-blush tomato compote. Just add chilled white wine and some sunshine!
