Schools Division Superintendent SDO Batangas over 208 participants composed of CID representatives during the 7’S Orientation Cum Development of Quality Policy, Objectives, Procedures, Manual and Forms Training and Workshop held at Batangas Country Club, January 29 – 31. Rocafort emphasized that each participants must use their heart in everything that they do since the target of the ISO journey is the quality of service which will be provided to the interested parties (pupils, community, parents and other stakeholders). “It is the skill that we may get from this workshop, not only help our system but we can also use it as our personal management,” Rocafort added. Discussion about 7’S followed after the opening program.

Club, January 29. In her discussion of 7’S namely sort, straighten, scrub, strategize, sustain, safety and
spirit, she emphasized that if the first 5’S will not be practiced it will not be possible to reach 6th and 7th. “Let’s make 7’S a way of life,” Caunin added. She stressed out the things that should be done and considered in materializing the 7’S. On the other hand, participants raised questions regarding the pros and cons of its implementation.

SDS Rocafort appoints Carandang as chairman of 7’S committee

of 7’S committee during the workshop held at Batangas Country Club, January 29. 7’S committee aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of 7’S
implementation by auditing each department and section. Carandang accepted the task and asked the consultant to give her the copy of the technical know – how of the auditing. According to Carandang, she will diligently study and know everything about her task to prove that she can do the work entrusted to her.

o deepen the knowledge of the participants about auditing, Myra
Caunin, JBDC Consultant, let the participants experience the actual auditing through a workshop at Batangas Country Club, January 29. Participants were divided into four
groups and assigned to audit specific area at the venue. Representative from each group used the audit checklist to evaluate the implementation of 5’S. Participants werer also tasked to create a spaghetti diagram of their respective units to identify the "waste" and to find solutions on how to improve their units. Caunin assigned every section to create a flow chart of their process which will be presented the next day.
