What the New ADA Design Standards Mean to YOU
This free presentation is meant to familiarize participants with the new standards and give them an overview of how they may be affected by the changes.
The Learning Objectives of the Program are: 1. Brief history of Accessibility Guidelines in the US 2. A general explanation of scoping requirements for Title II – state and local government facilities 3. A general explanation of scoping requirements for Title III – public accommodations and commercial facilities 4. How the ADA Design Standards are enforced 5. New format for the Design Standards 6. Highlight of changes in the Technical Requirements in the new Standards The presentation lasts approximately one hour with additional time for questions and answers and is an accredited program qualified for 1 HSW CEU credit for architects.
