FIR
design by Hannes Gumpp Portasciugamani ed appendiabiti freestanding in metallo verniciato, Fir rappresenta l’astrazione grafica di un albero dove i rami e le radici sono connessi tra di loro. Si ripiega su se stesso e può essere collocato nella posizione desiderata semplicemente ruotando l’estremità dell’asta. Prima di essere prodotto da Ex.t, Fir è stato presentato nell’ambito di una mostra curata dal German Design Council dal titolo “functional, distinct, unobtrusive”. Freestanding towelrack and coatstand in varnished metal, Fir is the graphic abstraction of a tree, where branches and roots are connected to each other. It’s collapsible and can be easily fixed in the desired position just by turning the tip of the stem. Leaf is a series of coat-hooks inspired by the movement of leaves of a tree. Clothes or other objects can be hung from them or clamped behind them. Gemma Fabbri è a capo dello studio londinese di design Scene, che si occupa di arredo, ambienti, progettazione grafica ed eventi. Scene progetta mobili per marchi internazionali, oltre a produrre una propria linea attraverso la collaborazione con artigiani del Regno Unito. La formazione di Gemma nel campo del design grafico e design 3D conferisce uno stile unico ai suoi progetti. Il suo approccio dà vita ad arredi raffinati e senza tempo. I progetti di Scene, appaiono regolarmente su testate internazionali.
Deevie Vermetten è un giovane designer che non solo sta facendo carriera come progettista di allestimenti, interni e oggetti con il nome di Fermetti, ma sta anche aiutando altri designer a sviluppare questo percorso. Con la sua seconda etichetta, Atelier Belge, Vermetten vuole realizzare una piattaforma dove giovani designer hanno la possibilità di creare e produrre le loro idee. “La prima collezione è stata presentata alla Biennale Interieur l’anno scorso ed è stato un successo” afferma Vermetten.
Hannes Gumpp (1977), che vive e lavora a Monaco, è un product e furniture designer. Dopo un apprendistato come fabbro e dopo essersi laureato nel 2005 all’Accademia d’arte di Stoccarda, ha lavorato per designer come Stefan Diez e per architetti e brand di design. Dal 2008 lavora per diverse realtà internazionali. Ha curato esposizioni e mostre di design in collaborazione con vari artisti. I suoi lavori sono stati esposti a Kortrijk, Colonia, Milano, Monaco Barcellona, Tokyo e New York.
Gemma Fabbri runs London based design studio, Scene, that has a diverse portfolio encompassing furniture, interiors, graphic design and event curation. Scene designs furniture for international brands as well as producing their own range through UK manufacturers. Gemma’s background in 3d and Graphic Design gives her designs a unique style. Her approach results in refined and timeless furniture products each with their own story. It’s work is regularly featured in International press publications.
Deevie Vermetten is a young designer who is not only building his own career – as a set, interior and product designer under the name Fermetti – but also helping others along the way. With his second label Atelier Belge, Vermetten aims to create a platform where young designers get their first shot at creating and producing their own ideas. “First collection was presented at Interieur Biennale last year and we had such great reactions”, Vermetten says.
Hannes Gumpp (1977) is a Munich-based furniture and product designer. After an apprenticeship as a metalworker and since having graduated from Stuttgart Arts Academy in 2005, he has been working for Designers such as Stefan Diez, as well as for architects and retail-design companies. Since 2008 he has been working for international companies. His works have been exhibited in Kortrijk, Cologne, Milan, Munich, Barcelona, Tokyo and New York.

Hiroshi Kawano nasce a Kanagawa, Giappone nel 1971. Si laurea in architettura degli interni presso la Tama University di Tokyo. I suoi lavori sono stati esibiti a Stoccolma, Londra, Colonia, Milano, Bonn, Monaco, Parigi e Tokyo. Dal 2007 inizia a collaborare con diversi brand. La sua lampada Bloom prodotta da Lignet Roset nel 2008 è stata inclusa dalla rivista I.D. fra i più interessanti progetti dell’anno (New+Notable 2008: the year’s smartest products).
Meike Langer è nata a Bad Oeynhausen, cresciuta a Minden, nel Nord della Germania. Ha studiato disegno industriale all’Accademia di Arte e Design di Offenbach am Main (Germania) e presso l’ecal, Università dell’arte e del design di Losanna (Svizzera). Si è laureata nel 2010 e nello stesso anno ha fondato il suo studio. Nel 2012 è stata premiata al Designpreis Deutschland come designer emergente. I suoi lavori sono stati esposti a Berlino, Francoforte, Colonia, Kortrijk, Parigi e Milano.
Sigrid Strömgren (Svezia, 1980), ha conseguito un master in progettazione (mfa) presso la Facoltà di Design e Artigianato (hdk) a Götebor e ha fondato lo studio Quiet Design nel 2007. Sigrid Strömgren (Sweden 1980), obtained a master degree in design (mfa) from the School of Design and Crafts (hdk) in Gothenburg and founded the studio Quiet Design in 2007. Her noise reductive table Silent Whisper (produced by Materia) is patented. Her work has generated much attention and has been awarded with the Grand Design Prize, the Red dot design award and the Swedish Sound Design Award Guldsyrsan. She has participated in several international fairs and exhibitions.
