KENNEL KOMMENTS Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you.

I hope you have been enjoying the season so far? I have so many fond moments. I enjoyed our trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, meeting our first time fans, being in the net at half time on match days trying to save penalties, dressing up for Halloween and being Santa Paws at this time of year!

Thanks for collecting my monthly magazine and I hope you have enjoyed reading them.

I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year when we play Stevenage on 2nd January, this will also be a special day as our home will be ten years old.

The gaffer was a big part of my coming here. I nearly had the chance to work with him before and knew about him.

When I met him and he talked me through the project, what he wanted to do, he really sold me on the club. The coaches don't let you stand still. So if you think you are doing ok they will find you something to work on and improve. I am learning all the time. You need to be switched on every day because they throw a lot at you to take on board. I enjoy it. It is easy to be around the dressing room as everyone is pulling in the same direction which makes things easier.

Do you feel up to speed now?

I have been feeling good for a while, I played in the cups too. I've played in a few different positions, in midfield and across the back, so it has been challenging but I've been happy just to be out there with the lads because it was frustrating being out. Now it is about embracing it and getting an understanding with the players around me. I have always played as a defender, but the gaffer challenged me to play in midfield. I'm learning, I'm just enjoying all the challenges.

Who is the biggest joker in the dressing room?

It's John. He's mad - he repeats every thing I say back to me with a French accent! It is annoying, but it is funny - he is unbelievable with his accents! It is pretty good to be fair. My wife laughs at him so it must be funny.

We spoke to him last time about putting mugs in Liam Mandeville’s bed in a hotel, has he played any tricks on you?

He hasn't done any yet, but I'm sure it'll come!

Who gets to pick the music in the dressing room before matches?

I don't know, it's not me! At the training ground when I was injured Aaron Taylor-Sinclair was in charge of the music in the gym. I don't get to put French music on!

We know the players compete on Mario Kart on the team bus – are you any good?

That's what I mean when I say it is frustrating being injured so I've not been doing this stuff! So now I am coming back and seeing everyone playing Mario Kart - I'm thinking about getting myself a console so I can get some extra practice because at the moment they are still too good for me!
